This year the route will end at Kenyon College near Mount Vernon. We will need more help as there will be multiple routes. First ride around the neighborhood and I pedaled my ass off and it felt so slow. That was the first time I have gone less than 60 on a residential street on two wheels. There were a lot of people from this site that helped last year and i am sure they will chime in with their experiences. This year should be even better.For fuck's sake, if you find yourself trying to pilot a motorcycle through a sea of bicyclists at the starting gate, turn your ass around and go the other way 'cause you is lost. Seriously, this is a lot of fun and if I do end up still with the RR at that time I'm totally in for the moto escort. A word of advice/caution for those with older bikes: The first 1-2 hours are SLOW, like 8MPH idle in 1st gear slow. If you bike has overheating/cooling issues (like my old Katana did), you may want to rethink your choice of bike or prepare to change oil immediately following the race. Liquid cooled bikes should be OK, it's gonna get hot under there but with proper coolant circulation you should be OK. Oil-cooled's are going to run into some issues, and don't be surprised if your oil cooler radiator starts to smoke. Harleys should be OK, they're used to 8MPH.
