In 2013 for our thirtieth wedding anniversary we took our kids and their significant others to Pearl Harbor, eight of us. It was a quite an experience, the Missouri, the Arizona and the history. The sacrifices these men and women made them the Greatest Generation.

We just went in January. One of the most humbling places I've ever visited. We took this picture and neither one of us even thought about our face gestures till we looked at the pictures later on.20200124_122210.thumb.jpg.0313710b823b0e99aa556d3ce84373e9.jpg

My grandfather was a WWII combat veteran, fought in the Asian Theatre, strong christian man that never swore even when golfing, couldn't shake his strong dislike for those JAPS. Seemed completely out of character for him to have a harsh word about anyone but apparently those wounds cut deep and forever.
