I didn't mean it like that. sure the company wants to sell their product and needs to make their buyers happy. I meant from a consumer POV. People that eat these should suck it up and deal with the noise. They are making the earth a cleaner place. Now if we can just put trash bags on cows asses to catch their farts....

" Today’s hard-hitting investigative report from the Wall Street Journal: The new Sun Chips bags are loud. Like, really loud. The new bags are biodegradable and compostable (good), but as a result, are also more “crispy and crunchy” (bad). The poor Sun Chips fans who just want to be able to get a midnight snack without waking up the household have compared the sound of the crinkling bag to a “revving motorcycle,” the WSJ reports.

I find this interesting.

Osha says 4 hours a day of 95dB is permissible. Who eats sunships 4 hours a day?

A walkman at 5/10 is about 94dB. Ban walkmans, ipods, cd players.

Eh but I have't seen the bags. Last time I had sunchips was when they were 80% compostable or whatever.

Oh no the bag is too woud, my wittle ears are hurty.

Of course the world around us gets louder and louder. But because I can't gorge myself silly after midnight: I want to kill off the solution to a source of waste.

Every chip/snack food maker in the world could have taken a huge step towards reducing their impact, but no. Those bags would be too loud. I mean being inconvenienced in such a mild way, is too much to pay for what is effectively a zero-impact product.

Will I seek to stop the increasing noise levels all around me? Dammit, don't confuse the issue! We're talking about loud bags here!

Is there a "step off the soap box" smiley?
