I always find it amusing when there's a higher upload than download.

I think it was something like that when we were at the hospital back last Feb when my son was born. I loved being able to quickly upload pics to share!

They want your address, and other info? I think not. They already know who I am, and where I am. Fortunatey, they don't have any need (that I know of) to USE this information.

Depends what adapter your computer has... but in my experience router hasn't helped

Bandwidth is different than throughput. You have header, CRC, and other overhead to consider.

Time Warner has done something with my upload. Not that I mind it being faster, but it used to cap out at .73.

I had to switch to a wired connection to get a good download speed.

Have any of you tried the speedtest with your smartphone?

I just did. Ran the test while layin on the couch in my living room,

test #1 done with the cellular data, test #2 with cell data off and wifi activiated.

I'm assuming I'd get a better cellular data speed if I stepped outside

of my house since I don't get the best signal inside.

Test #3, done with WIFI while sitting basically a few feet from my wireless router...

I did my phone earlier today but can't figure out how to post it. I have the app downloaded but not sure where to look. If I go into the browser to the site, it goes right to the market and asks me to open the app.

Click on RESULTS on the app,

then click the test results,

then click the little mail icon,

mail the results to yourself,

the email will include a link to the online results

that you can post as an image here.
