I'll let you guess how well THAT turned out. I think it was the night I didn't realize I was going to be out late, and had the dark shield on. A week later, I went to IP and used gift cards to get a HJC (I think it might be the same one you have Sam) with the integrated sunshield, FTW! At least I was able to stick to major roads that had streetlights. When the sun hit it at any sort of direct-ish angle it would "white out" and I couldn't see a thing. The integrated sunshield doesn't do that. It really wasn't bad after dark, other than the bugs.
