No... they require a helmet, gloves, and a long sleeve jacket (doesn't even have to be leather).

Leg and foot protection is up to you. I'll wear jeans, my A* boots, leather jacket, helmet, and Spidi gloves, but I've seen guys in as little as a sweatshirt, tennis shoes, and Mechanix gloves.

There are usually 3-5 guys in the full gear though. Not req'd for Wed night racing, but those guys also do the weekend stuff where it is - that and most of them have 8-9 sec bikes.

No meetup spot specifically.

I'm planning on rolling out from my house around 4:45PM - takes me about 40-45mins to get to the track... track opens at 5PM, time trials start at 5:30PM... but if you get there soon enough before people unload trailers and crap, you can usually get two or three passes in before it gets too crowded, then you might only get 2 additional passes in before they close the lanes and run the race (around 8PM).

My brother (SST3728) and my ol' man might be out there on their bikes too - my brother for sure, but not sure about my dad. So, I'm for sure going out there. Lenny (Avenger) is a maybe.

It's going to be a cold ride home, that's all I know. Also note, that if you make it to the semi's or better and you ride out... you're going to have a really shitty time trying to get your trophy home. It can be done, but it's not a pleasant ride, trust me. I usually zip it up in the front of my jacket (that's how loose it is on me). Or, last time I went, I had a cager with me who took stuff home for me. :)

Kos... you don't have to show up at 5. I just go early to get 5 or 6 time trials in.

If you show up by 6 or 6:30... you could probably get 2 time trials before the bracket racing begins. You may even get more... later in the season the crowds tend to thin out once people with kids are back in school and stuff. Just sayin'.

I guess, if we see you, we see you... I don't know how many other perfect racing nights that'll fall on Wedensday. Tonight will be prime.. nice and cool.

Or... you could've showed up. :p

TT#1: 10.457 @ 135.56 with a 0.059 R/T

TT#2: 10.454 @ 135.36 with a 0.099 R/T

TT#3: 10.487 @ 135.85 with a 0.037 R/T

TT#4: 10.736 @ 135.13 with a 0.041 R/T (Huge wheelie off the start, had to set her down and gather it back up)

Rnd#1: 10.50 Dial to a 13.40 Dial (Dresser Harley)

10.598 @ 128.64 with a 0.171 R/T vs. 13.570 @ 105.65 with a 0.142 R/T

I got the win light with a Margin Of Victory (MOV) of .0438

Rnd#2: 10.55 Dial to a 9.72 Dial (Stretch Hayabusa)

10.488 @ 122.69 with a 0.098 R/T vs. 9.826 @ 140.52 with a 0.153 R/T

I drove the top end incredibly stupid - took the guy through by a bus length, even though I thought I slowed down plenty (122mph off my 135mph normal trap speed), broke out by a ton and crossed the finish line 0.1688 ahead of the guy (like I said - a TON). Hell, per our R/Ts I had 0.055 in the bank to play with, I should've easily won that round.

Per my timeslip I was on a 10.39-10.40 pass and hadn't run that quick all night. I do remember having an almost perfect launch (carried the wheel just off the ground for about 25ft before it came back down on its own), so my 60' time was 1.782 compared to my mid 1.80's on my other runs. And the air was cooler, so I gained a little at every other marker down track. I saw the guy in my mirror and left off the throttle just after the 1000' cone, lost 13mph, and still broke out.

Bottom line: I drove stupid.

My brother and dad both lost 1st round as well. My dad was on his Buell dialed 12.83 and raced a guy on a fully prepped drag bike dialed 8.99, double breakout loss. My brother dialed a 10.36 and raced a stretched R6 running low 11s (I think) and he broke out by by 0.001 running a 10.359. His timeslip showed that if you took it out to the 10,000th of a second, it was actually 10.3596, so he broke out by .0004.

Still good times.

All the elimination round timeslips should be posted up at 1320go.com

The guy from MotoLenz photo was also there, so as soon as he updates his website, I may grab some photos of the spicy buffalo killer copper busa.

The guy from MotoLenz photo updated his site with the pics he took on 9/2.

He's a pretty good photographer. I've never actually purchased anything, so I sort of feel obliged to at least advertise for him a little bit since I grabbed all the low res proofs of myself, my dad, and my brother off his website (hence the watermark).
