Not even close to a strong maybe. I have a big trip planned for this summer and can't commit the time to this trip because of it. Not saying that I won't get a wild hair but work and weather have to cooperate.

Great, see you there soon lol :D

He was out for a week because he was racing at Daytona. Was back today I’m sure it’ be knocked out

I'm guessing I'll probably hear from him this week or next week. He quoted me 3 weeks when it got dropped off (4 weeks ago) but I didn't know he was also prepping to race at Daytona. Makes sense. He's also super busy at the shop so I'm not worried about it. Just want to test out all the new POWER! :p

Looks like they are stepping up enforcement way early this year.

I am for sure not going this year.  I'll be traveling for work.

Instead I'll be doing a 3 or 4 day WV ride in either late June or early July.

Bummer. I need to spend some more time in WV, although it might be best to have a bike that can outrun a car in a straight line before spending too much time there.

Well, I've officially put in notice with my company that I will be leaving as of the end of May. So, now that work will no longer be a roadblock, I should not be free to attend. I need to square away some other personal commitments and get new tires on the bike but otherwise I'm 99% in now.

Nice set-up, What tire are you going with? Also are you interested in doing some back country gravel and golf cart path style asphalt with elevation changes during the epic event?

I went with the battle wings again. They will be good if terrain is relatively dry. Yes Bmac I would love to go off road

I will most likely have the BW's mounted also. My Mitas E07's will be finished by then and this year I am going back to a more street tire this year. "Relatively dry with a Moderate Pace" is my 2019 Moto-Mantra😤

Not mandatory but if there has been a recent rain event you can run into sections that failed to drain off and can be slick. No deep mud bogs or deep rutted jeep trails. Water crossings are not bad when water level is low/calm. They can be by-passed easily. The Cherokee Challenge route is fun and not to difficult. Just slow and pick your line maintain pace for balance and don't over work your street suspension and ground clearance will not be an issue. Also I have connected some of the Smoky Mountain 5oo to depart Fontana down to Murphy and return to Fontana on forest roads or asphalt if the happy hour horn is blowing back at camp.

If anyone wants to rent a DR650 or 400 or anything check with Dan. https://gsmmotorent.com/

I rented a DR650 for a few days and had a blast screwing with the big bikes in our group.

This is what can be expcted.

1. video is the Cherokee route parts of this will be used on my loop.

2. Video is parts of the SM500 also used
