motocat12
They manually wore several tires down from full tread and lost tons of braking traction. I wonder if an on bike comparison measurements(including temp) could be taken over time with a board, weight and scale? Shoop
TEN WORD SUMMARY: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, buy Michelin. That's a good safe conclusion. Pity that they didn't also compare mileage because that will determine how quickly the tire will degrade from the performance for new to worn. It's also probably one of the bigger differences between the expensive and inexpensive groups. Also, I don't think their lateral traction test is a good assessment of the cornering ability, feel, or confidence that sets a great tire apart from a good tire. MSerfozo
As a former Michelin engineer, I found this very interesting. It's not often I watch an entire 20 min video.
whaler
Good information... mostly common sense. My only concern, there did not appear to be any weathering (UV, heat/cool cycles, salt spray), which would give a significantly more accurate account of worn tire performance.
