Recommended Posts

This guy claims if bike models aren't updated they don't have to pass modern emissions to explain the dr650 etc ole  thumpers. I would like to see that  source.

in 5 to 10 years it won't be a problem. you'll be able to have all the 2-stroke torque and power you want without having to worry about emissions at all.

Emissions Tests - For those that can't find a way around it.

Edit: Bikes aren't subject to emissions here anyway?

EU is driving the emission changes in the internal combustion industry. Manufacturers don't want to have multiple engines for multiple markets so they are streamlining across the board to fit with EU's tight new regulations. In some cases, this means that legacy bikes that would be too costly to re-design vs what they bring in won't be seeing any updates.
