@cmh_sprint and I are riding down for the Gap trip again this year. I think @OsuMj is joining. Possibly @marlboro man also. Anyone else want to join? We’re taking two days down; leaving Wednesday morning from Pickerington and arriving Thursday afternoon/early evening. As much two lane as possible. We’ll stay at a hotel/motel somewhere near the middle. Medium-ish pace, probably in the 10-20 over range.

Why are you skipping The Snake and 208 and 212?

To be honest..I have no idea where/what those roads are. I created this route by looking at Google maps.

You suck. I'll fix it when I get home.

For everyone else except the two rump rangers go the way below.  14 miles of 26 (slab) and you can pick up 208, 212, 209 and so on. Then cut through Maggie Valley and the BRP and come in near Gatlinburg to Townsend.  Yea, the last part will be a bit lame with traffic along the river, if you want to skip that head to Franklin from Maggie, have dinner at Cafe Rel then up 26 to the Gap then Townsend.

^^^^ This.  @Tonik towed me on this route through Hot Springs last year. Awesome roads. The road along the creek between gatlinburg and Townsend is a crap shoot for traffic but a great stretch of asphalt.
