Xsr900Rider
So after working on my chain and everything I'm noticing a flat spot forming from all my commuting. Not horrible but I'll be due for a new rear shortly currently bike has the original Bridgestone Battleax S-20 on it. Thought I'd get your opinions on a tire probably dual compound that can get me some commuting wear but still let me have fun in the twisties without sacrificing grip. Xsr900Rider
I know, almost didn't post it but I have not been looking at tires in a long time and the S-20s are no longer made I think were replaced by S-21 and from my limited time on this forum you guys seem to rack up miles and have probably tried many kinds of tires I am guessing. JustinNck1
Well since your bike has the most common sport motorcycle tire sizes, your choices are abundant. I don't think you can go wrong with a sport touring tire for street use. Angel GT, Roadsmarts, T30s, PR4s, etc.
Tonik
Justin gave you the right answer. I will go with the T 30's next time.
Xsr900Rider
Thanks I will look at the options Justin listed and the T-30s
Tpoppa
everything else being equal Road Smart 3s have a good rebate right now.
thompsonian
I'd vote RS3 over the T30 but that's cause mine wore for shit and I know that @2talltim had mediocre wear on his too. Then again...we are running heavyweights... I'm gonna gamble on the Avon Storm 3DXM next set.
2talltim
T30 EVO is a fine tire, so is Angle GT, Pilot road 4s, and so far the census says the Roadsmart 3's are great too. I am just hard on tires and no brand of tire will fix that.
whaler
With T30's on an FZ1 I get 5000 on the low to 7500 on the high. All tires listed will be good for anything you can do on the street... even mach retard.
cptchaos
Iron Pony has s20s on sale, 109 for the rear but the date code is 2012 if fresh rubber matters to you.
