That will work.  However, since its analog and doesn't have a mirrored scale, you'll need to perform a gauge R&R study!

Ha Ha.  I've got an $11 Accugauge that I use most of the time.  I also have a liquid filled expensive Motion Pro gauge that hangs on my garage wall most of the time.  It's purpose is to verify that my Accugauge is correct & it is.
