Bad for Bautista, good for you if you are looking for a smoking deal on a helmet.

Very true. I may pick up a second helmet for street next year, the Bell Star is not made for sitting straight up on a naked bike and I've heard Scorpion helmets are pretty comfortable.

This is a great helmet to begin with and for the price you can't go wrong. The other cool thing is that this helmet comes with a clear and a dark smoke shield. That is a $44.95 value in itself! Give MIKE call today to get yours!

Got mine yesterday. Looks good. Liner isn't as soft as my Vector, but it's also brand new. I remember my (2007) EXO700 being very plush inside. I expect this to break in nicely. The fit is TIGHT at the neck. I like that a lot. Should keep wind noise and buffeting to a minimum. The pump up cheek bladder is sort of gimmicky, but I suppose it's better than buying cheek pads to fit? Maybe I'll use it. Maybe I won't.

Shell size is on point. Very close to my face and doesn't stick out like a beak. Colors are cool. Glitter in the back isn't that bad, but not my preference. The hi-viz and neon pink are my thing. I miss the nineties.

Mine weighs 1617 grams. That's only 66 grams more than my Arai. (.145 lbs) I like the way the visor closes against the seal, but I don't like the way it detents to almost half-open. The Arai has no detents, so I can set my visor in any position. I will miss that feature most.

I hope to get some miles in this lid in a few weeks. I expect positive results and while I'm not in love with the helmet, it's certainly very nice for $160. I wouldn't pay $430 for it, but I also wouldn't pay that for my Arai. (which I bought for $225).

So, thanks to Mike and RidersDiscount for providing another excellent product at an incredible value. You guys are my favorite online retailer and I've yet to buy something from you that doesn't impress. Thanks, again!

(Snell/DOT stickers have since been removed to show all cagers that I worship the dark lord)

I have this helmet in a different graphic. Great helmet in the heat it flows a ton of air. She'll size is noticeably smaller than my other scorpion helmet so no bobble head. Best part for me is the way it cuts the wind. Very stable helmet.  Much less strain on the neck means more comfortable long days on a naked bike.

Exactly, this one and the rst suit deal, man it's been a struggle fighting it. Not even an irrational reason for me to get a full suit and another helmet but still keep clicking the link and drooling on the pics.

Cool helmet.

hahah

usually its around 12:00 at night when I  transform to motorcycle Cinderella and i end up making irrational decisions and buying stuff online, even bikes. I almost bought it last night :)  thankfully turned into boring pumpkin

Problem is this is how a rabbit hole evolves > get stylish helmet> need suit to match > oh wait need a bike to match as well haha :D

but seriously anyone needing one helmet, this is an outstanding helmet and awesome deal for the price and all online reviews have been nothing but positive. I would have bought for sure if i didnt spend a lot on helmet previous year

The new Bell Race Star helmet is identical to Bell's top-of-the-line Pro Star helmet, with the only difference being shell construction. Made with 3K carbon fiber, the Race Star is a lightweight and durable helmet. The Bell Race Star Tracer Black/White Helmet features a glossy finish.

Equipped with Bell's three-layer Flex Impact Liner, the Race Star is designed to protect in three potential impact scenarios: low, mid and high-speed.

A new vent configuration allows for the same great airflow as the helmets in the previous Star series with less outside noise. Together, the multi-position chin vent and removable vent plug allow you to aim the airflow towards either the shield or your face. Two exhaust vents, one under the rear wing and one at the neck, let hot air out of the helmet.

This helmet comes with a "Panovision" face shield with Class 1 Optics. Bell's Panovision incorporates larger view ports that allow you to see more while doing head-checks, lane changes, or searching for obstacles. The center lock mechanism makes opening and closing the shield easy while riding.

The Race Star's cheek pads and comfort liner incorporate Bell's "Magnefusion" technology, which utilizes magnates rather than snaps to hold the cheek pads in place. This helmet's comfort liner, cheek pads, and neckroll are made out of "Virus Cool Jade Power Mesh" material, which is moisture wicking and provides a cooling sensation to the skin.
The Bell Race Star Tracer Black/White Helmet is Snell M2015, DOT, and ECE 22.05 approved.
      MSRP $749.95

The latest race helmet from Arai, the Corsair-X, is one of the best premium helmets on the market. The Arai Corsair-X Vinales-2 Helmet features the graphic that Maverick Viñales sported at the Valencia pre-season test back in November.

The new PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair-X is much lighter. In fact, it is 30% lighter than the Corsair-V. This is greatly attributed to the synthetic fibers and special resin formula that Arai has developed. Arai has not abandoned their special R75 shell shape, however. A lightweight, aerodynamic, and protective helmet is very sought after by racers, and Arai certainly has delivered.

One of the biggest changes with this helmet is the upgraded ventilation system. The top/center vent allows around 11% more airflow than the Corsair-V did. All of the vents on the new Corsair-X are easier to adjust with gloves, as well as more durable and longer.
Another significant change is the new "Variable Axis System" (VAS). The VAS has a variable axis (moving pivot point) allowing the shield to open and close, even with the 24mm lower shield mount position.

The interior of the Corsair-X not only provides protection and comfort, but also does a great job keeping you cool. The plush lining in combination with the ventilation system wicks sweat away and helps keep you a comfortable temperature. The interior is made of Eco Pure material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption.

5mm peel away ear pockets on the Corsair-X allow riders room for a communication system. Per customers’ requests, Arai lowered the chin bar by 3mm for extra comfort (great for riders that use a microphone) and upgraded the chin curtain and neck roll to help block out unwanted noise and help improve ventilation.

The Corsair-X comes with a VAS V MV Shield, which is a clear anti-fog Pinlock shield. There are several tinted shield options available for purchase as well.
The Arai Corsair-X is both 2015 Snell and DOT certified.
      MSRP $979.95

Not yet listed on our website, you can order your Arai Corsair-X Vinales-2 Helmet by calling MIKE at 866.931.6644 ext. 804 or by sending us a private message through this forum. Is email more convenient? Write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we'll get back to you right away!
