Got and installed the LEDs tonight and they are fucking amazing. No need to cut or trim the boot, no need to mount drivers just plug and play. The bracket spins off the bulbs. You insert the bracket in the headlight housing and then the bulb and the boot Twist on the bracket together. I did not take a side by side or before pics I was too excited to get them in. I ran them in the garage with the motor running for 10 min and the hottest I seen the heat sinks get was 160 degrees. Went for a very short test ride and holy sheet they are nice. When i got back from rode they were 120 deg. Only thing yet to be seen as how long they last and durability.

Do you have projectors? I do not, and my HID kit is bright but the light kinda scatters all over... I had never heard of these bulbs but would be interested if they look that good without projectors... Never really liked hids without projector but the stock bulb just isn't bright enough

Yea that's the only unforeseen thing. My bike has 2 head lights so if one fails I'm not fucked. Also I can change mine out in about 5 min with no tools if need be so I'll probably carry the old bulbs with me for a while. They do get good reviews on amazon and other than the LED elements they don't have much failure points. @Danimal ran a similar set on his china bike and didn't have any issues.

I've been running a "worse" or "lessor" brand/type of LED's (when asking some people) and they've held up 100% from day one. So far 100% more reliable than HID's. Jury is still out on LED vs. halogen in terms of longevity. I actually don't know I've ever had to replace a halogen headlight bulb because it was burned out. I've usually always upgraded before then.

Well it’s been a busy couple days. I stripped the Connie of all the goodies I could. I left the Connie in good hands. Moving to something much different.

Technically I’ve been riding the same bike for about 4 years. There’s just been a lot of others in between. The new one will slow that cycle down to a grinding stop.  $$$

Awesome, it will be a great 2 up bike and will serve you well if you take it on long solo hauls. Get that ECU fedex'd out man.

You may end up hating how wide that brake pedal is, I forgot about that when you were asking questions.  Two screws underneath, take it off and move it left and screw it on with one screw. You will then see what to cut off it. It isn't bad and that will make sense when you move it to the left.

And put some loctite on the antenna.

To be more clear, you move the rubber pad left, and cut it on the left and you cut the right side of the platform off and fill it with some JB Weld and then dust it with some black paint. Or a sharpie if you are a hack like me.

On the list. Gonna check with Ivan to see if exhaust makes a difference to the flash. I don’t want this to be really loud but I can hardly hear it run. Maybe a slip on down the road if I can’t get use to the quiet.

Test run on the phone charger tonight. It did not lose charging signal at all even going up a shity uneven brick street. Had GPS nav, GPS tracker, streaming Pandora and screen on bright and the battery lost 1% every 10 min. Still running the 5v 2.1 amps. Next test run tomorow same scenario but want to see what it dose with screen off. Will be ordering a 9v fast charge adapter for it if the second test duplicates the results of it continuing to charge without interruption.

Commuted to work in day light both ways so didn't get to try the lights out so much. But did check the heat sink temp when i got home and they were around 135°
