You better believe it

Had a great time, nice meeting you all. I was really glad the 570 was there. I have to ask how the trip to the car wash went? I spent almost a hour on mine, and it's still dirty/muddy as hell.

Was a blast and I slept well lol. We spent about a half hour at the car wash and got about 90% of it off. Going to look at the optimizer today I killed the quad more times there than I have in its entire life

I heard there were a lot of tickets handed out Saturday? Was told Police were very heavy, even heard a rumor of 2 guys getting pulled over for no helmets in a side by side and the one was carrying concealed...didn't tell the officer and when they escorted them back to the truck the officer seen it and wrote him a huge ticket.

That is a felony.

We seen officers all day, two on utility quads and one SUV like Bronco. But never seen them talk to anybody they were just there showing their presence on Sunday. We were even caught driving up the main road and they didn't bat an eye! What a difference a day makes.

My cousin didn't even put his spark arrestor in and both our exhaust were breaking the noise limit of 99db  they never said anything but of course they never stopped us either. Like m_quick said I am surprised they never stopped us on the main road

I got a ticket for speeding in the parking lot there about 10 years ago. I had no speedometer and the woods cop had no radar gun. He just decided I was speeding so that was that.

Won't go back. Not impressed with perry anyway.

Lol last time I was there I road a wheelie out of the parking. Rangers where there, but didn't bother anyone that we saw. There most likely waiting on your return!

We've never had any issues at Perry.  There seems to be more technical riding for dirt bikes there than there is at Wayne.

The deal at Perry is they don't police the off trail stuff. It's welcomed there, and that's what the bikes and quads love. Pick a hill and hit it, till you make it to the top. At Wayne you can be fined for going off marked trails, even if its a well traveled trail!

We were going up the water fall this summer on bikes ( always heard that is a NO NO ) and 2 tree cops were coming down on ATVs I figured it was going to be bad. He just pointed at my helmet and said to put my visor down. First time I ever saw them on the trails.

Interesting, I've never seen them on the trails either.  I can't believe how much maintenance they've done int he last few years.  I guess the side by side option has helped/hurt with widening the trails.  Some parts are almost getting Wayne-ish.  I've always preferred Perry County because it's always been a lot more technical.  Plus, there isn't really any areas that are "off limits".

We had a blast, and it wasn't very busy!!!

There are occasionally plain clothes officers working Perry.  I got a surprise years ago from one.  Took and did a whoolie in the parking area.  Guy in a camo shirt and jeans walks up and pulls his neck chain out of his shirt revealing a badge...well fuck, said me.  Saw a Banshee being loaded into another officers pickup that day as well.  The uniformed officer was actually foot stalking on the trails for a bit.  Always enjoyed riding there.  Have they been able to fight off the coal mine or is that still an issue?

Well, to explain my antics...  This was in the fall of 2002.  I had just recently purchased a new 660 Grizzly.  The thing would actually do whoolies.  This is nothing nowadays, but back then you didn't see a big 4x4 CVT quad doing wheel stands.  There was a pack of Honda Foremans 'mirin as as was approaching so I decided to show my ass a bit to them and stand that beast up for about 20 yards.  It was a low speed affair.  I had been there several times before and many after without any inclination of squidding in the parking lot.  For some reason that day though...I guess I thought I'd be Mr cool.  Ended up being Mr fool instead.

Last time down at Perry I was riding my Strom through there...just screwing off, had knobbies mounted up just wanted to play a bit on the not-that-gnarly stuff. Came around a bend and two rangers in a SXS were sitting there. A girl ranger motioned me to stop, so I went over and stopped. She was like "Uh, have you been here before?" and I said sure, lots of times. "Oh, ok, because not very many people ride a street bike through this you might wanna take it easy". lol, I thanked her and said I'd be fine. Mostly just rode the main trails and climbed some hills. First time I've ever seen any rangers there, on the trails, and I've been down there a hundred times I'll bet.

I went back there with my son and his wife over the 4th of July weekend. The trails weren't near as muddy as the 1st weekend of April. They certainly have improved and added a lot to the trails since the 1st time i was there. It's a lot smaller than Wayne, but sometimes it's hard for me to find areas I road before. Like last year my buddy and i was stuck on the maze trail for awhile, and I didn't even see that either time I went this year!
