These work good for lack of a better option. I had to take mine to the store and find a water bottle that would fit in it suggly but not too tight. Also the bottle I found has a flip up straw for easy access. Worked well for me going out to Wyoming last year. Only issue I had was I could not put a full water bottle in it because it would make it top heavy and fall over, I usually only fill mine 3/4. I'm using mine with the clutch lever bolt mount. It will pivot around corners and leans with the bike via centripetal force fairly well. I still use it when slabbin on long trips and it's easily removed with in seconds and stows in my side bag .
