it was just left media trying to keep repubs away from the polls

That doesn't make sense, low voter turnout favors republicans. If they wanted to help dems they would be encouraging everyone to vote.

CNN 95% chance repybs take senate. That makes low informed repubs not go out. Also 2/3 of registered voters failed to show up

The fact remains low voter turnout benefits republicans. Over the last few decades it has benefited them more. For a very long time, young and minorities didn't show for mid terms but now the older whiter voters are heavily skewed towards republicans. It was a good thumping. The strategy of not working with the president on just about every issue causing shit government then blaming the president for everything worked well. It's worked somewhat well in the past with the Democrats but much more so this time.

2016 will likely have good turnout and the D's will get more seats. Maybe not control of the senate but more. There are a lot to defend in the senate for 2016 for the Republicans.

The fact remains big business has bought big government. Both sides have been purchased and the people are the losers.

I enjoy listening to Rachel Maddow throw a hissy fit.

She's also mad at her own people for not doing anything during the lame duck session.

We, the people, own part of that too.  We want to sit on our asses and have the candidates and issues served up on our favorite cable channel.  Every nation gets the government they deserve.

I agree with this statement, but would add one thing:

The fact remains big business and special interest has bought big government. Both sides have been purchased and the people are the losers.

I only make that distinction because there are more groups than just big business buying their way into the process and the outcomes they want.
