SOLD!

Looking to sell the wife's bike.  Wondering if anyone here would be interested.

If you've seen mine, its just like it. Same model, year and color.

It's got some chick decals on it though, she thought I wouldn't ride it

if she put some pink skulls on it lol.

Anyway, here is the skinny...

- 2009 Yamaha FZ6R (600cc)

- Excellent / like new condition

- 2586 miles (yes, you read that right)

- Clean title in hand

- Never been down or dropped.

Asking $4000.  KBB is $4455

She doesn't ride it any more due to medical problems that

make riding it painful.

I have someone offline interested in this bike but wanted to see

if anyone here was interested as the other person is out of state.

Contact me via pm.

that thing is immaculate...

Isn't there another thread going where the OP is talking about spending $5500 for an FZ6R?  You kids need to get together and both walk away happy.

Like I said in the other thread, the FZ6R is considered a bit of a beginner bike, but it's a very nice machine.  Not a performance monster, but solid in pretty much every way.

It looks like the bike is spoken for. I'm having

2nd thoughts about an FZ6R being a sufficent

step up from my GS 500F, for the amount I'm

willing to spend.

.

Good idea on rethinking. Probably should get a mans bike. A VFR800 of the 2006 vintage

A step up yes, just depends on how big a step you want. Personally i don't get the baby steps some take in bike selections. I'd think about what you ultimately want to be into and ask your self if you are capable of controling your self and being able grow into it, and if the answer is yes take the leap.

Steps up are generally for those looking for that 2nd bike. After the feelings of inadequacy are alleviated, you focus on what you want. Do you want comfort? Touring capacity? Track-capable? What does "up" mean?

OP.... Hope the sale goes through.

What do "you" think Jack? Personally I believe you are listening to the choir too much, and yes it is a big enough step up and nicer bike than what you have now. If it is the bike you believe is the one, then I think you should get it.....doubt you will be wishing/regretting you had allot more.....just sayin. ;)

Too bad this bike is accounted for, this is about as good as it gets.

Yes.  In not knowing more than I do, I am relying on information

from those with more experience.  Questions have arisen in

regards to torque and horsepower, and what constitutes a

logical step up without getting in over my head.  Too small of a

jump and I'll wish I had saved my money for something with a

higher level of performance.

I guess I'll dig into the internet and do some more research.

Just because the power is there does not mean you have to use it. I would upgrade in bigger steps or go right to were you want to be and learn self control till you have the skill set.

So, are you suggesting that if I ride the wheels

off of my GS for the next two or three years

until I have the money saved to buy a used

2014 Ninja 1000, I wouldn't be crazy to make

a leap to that level?

Step 1: stop listening to assholes on the internet

Step 2: locate bike that interests you for a good deal

Step 3: ride it and decide if you like it

Step 4: ride it for a season...if you like it keep it. If you don't like it, sell for same price you bought for at said deal

Step 5: profit either way you go

If you feel you have out grown your GS Id say jump to it right now, or when ever the finances will let you. I think you will grow into it a lot quicker than you think. I sarted out on a gsxr750 (100hp) then took a 4 year hiatus then picked up my TL1000(125hp), took it easy with the TL till i got comfortable then started giving her hell. I'm no knee dragger but i'd like to think i'm a above average rider. Like i said learn self control and respect the bike and you will be fine. My current 1400 is still a learning curve for me but ive only had her for half a season.

Sorry for jacking your thread Mr. Rooso hope you have the bike sold too

Lol, no problem.  Wondering why I didn't get any notifications on replies to this thread otherwise I would have been back here sooner.

The bike is spoken for but the transaction is pending a money transfer that hasn't happened yet, if for some reason it doesn't happen

I will be sure to let you guys know here.

The bike is in like new condition, Melissa hardly road it.  I hate seeing it go because it was nice knowing I had spare parts in the

garage if I needed them lol, I have the exact same bike.

As for it being a "starter sportbike", yes, it does not have the torque n balls of most 600's but it will still get up and go.

Its not the kind of bike that you're going to stand up by accident, it just doesn't have that kinda kick, but I love mine greatly.

Does not matter spit what anyone else thinks Jack, and opinions and experiences are like assholes. I think the interweb is going to confuse you more than help, you need to go ride some bikes at a demo day or just pull the trigger on whatever you like and feel is a good and wise choice for you. You can't outride what you have now, so what exactly is really making you want something else more powerful? You are a bit tentative and think waaaaaayyyyy too much and over analyze things when it comes to bikes and riding.......relax and enjoy what you have for maybe a bit longer. :) You very simply have bike lust and there is NOTHING wrong with that "trust me", but try to avoid writing a check with your mouth that your ass may not be able to cash. ;) Sometimes you don't know what you had until it is gone, but with motorcycles that is usually an easy fix.

And yes we have totally hijacked this thread......LOL

Guilty as charged.  :excited:

And David Rosso, I owe you a beer or

steak dinner for this getting carried

away in your thread.

Not sure why people care in a for sale thread. Keeps that bitch at the top. Free advertising

Yep. Doesn't bother me.  BTW, this transaction still hasn't taken place.  Not sure at this point if it's going to happen,

still waiting to hear.
