My wife is running 2 miles everyday for lent.  I have decided that I am going to do the same.  It will help me lose a few pounds without giving up tasty beers.  Them darn Christmas beers and Barkley Wine Ales get me for 7 to 10 pounds every year.

Down to 210. Progress has been slow. I haven't been eating super clean, and I have been doing alot more weight training. I am seeing more muscle tone, even though the scale isn't changing much, so I still consider that progress. I would like to be at 200, so I need to get back to the correct meal prep. Got a new Air Fryer, so I got some new recipes to try.

Well, we just signed up for the crossFit open...I guess our Friday nights are taken for the next 5 weeks.

We will find our strengths and weaknesses.

I haven't lost anything in a while, but I know I am stronger. It takes a lot to get my heart rate up.

So I'm sure I've covered this in a previous post but just a recap. Two years ago I started at 298+ lbs., then came the total life style change you all have heard about. Got down to 228 lbs last April then came my accident and back injury. Got back up to 254 lbs this last summer before I decided to get back on track. Decided at the begining of the year I will now only do monthly weigh ins. Last month I was down to 239 and today I'm down to 233.8 lbs. My first goal is to be back down to the 228 before April 23rd which is the date of my accident last year. Then the next goal will be 219.9 hopefully by vacation that is May 20. The second goal might be a stretch but we'll see. Been kind of lazy on workouts the last two weeks due to getting things done around the house and then getting sick last weekend and not totally over it yet. But I have stuck to the old diet fairly well. So that's it for now we will truck on and see what net months weigh in tells.

Hellmutt and I are still doing crossfit, we are both still do good. However, some of you might not recognize him this spring....he has lost a lot of weight and toned up.

Well I'm not getting any prettier, so I'll still be plenty recognizable ?

12 minutes ago, what said:

down 5lbs this week.

6 weeks until OMRL starts, 14.5 weeks until Gap Trip. Should be in good shape by then. Just gotta keep the willpower up :p

Awesome....get an XR then?

Another step in the right direction. I bought myself a new one piece leather suit today. So nice to find an off the shelf size fit.

I also set a new record for a 5k on the treadmill.

Holy fook Justin, don't take this the wrong way but damn man, I barely recognize you! Lookin good, keep up that hard work!

Tried on 34Wx36L jeans this weekend and had no problems buttoning them up. Still little bit of a muffin top to be comfortable so I bought one pair of 35W instead. I was wearing a 40W just a couple years ago and havent worn anything under 36W since Jr High School. Also other than the length I wear the same size jeans as my 15 year old son.

My wife has this same problem. She literally looks NOTHING like her license photo. She's almost half the weight from when that pic was taken.

Got x-rays today and my scapula is still fractured. The gap is about half of what it was but definitely still there. I start PT next week but not allowed (probably can't anyways) to do any upper body strength training on my own.

My last workout was on 2/8. It'll be interesting to see how much strength I lose between then and when I can officially start up again in another 4-6 weeks.

  • 2 weeks later...

Down to 224 today... Almost to my first goal weight of 220... Was 250 on Jan 1

Need to start working out now, try to get rid of the love handles and the extra gut that's left... Hoping to get down to 200 before October and tone up some... They just built a planet fitness right by my house so I'm going to sign up... I know that gym kinda sucks, but it's cheap as fuck and always open.

For the first time since middle school I'm wearing XL shirts instead of 2/3XL...it feels good!

You Ohio bubbies won't recognize me next time I come visit lol

Like you're ever going to come back and visit. Don't know if I would recognize a skinny Steve butters. Better make sure your tolerance is up to sporting standards.   Wouldn't want to get porn dogged.

Workouts that I could barely finish in an hour I am now finishing in nearly 1/2 the time and with a lot more weight. Tis a good sign. Mixing it up with heavy low rep weeks and light weight high rep weeks. Motorcycle season will be soon upon us.

It's been too long already... Gonna try to make it back next year... Also, my tolerance is shit now from drinking less and losing weight... I think the crown maple would get to me if recreated today lmao
