Right now is the best time to get ready for the 2014 riding season, especially the race season.  There is a lot of talk about what everyone is doing to their bike over the off-season, what new expensive upgrades will be installed, and how we can squeeze out those last few tenths of a sec or horsepower.  Well, I am now focusing on the item that is in the most need for an upgrade. The rider!

Let’s just say that you just installed a new full exhaust on your bike, and you paid $1000.00 for it.  What is that full exhaust really going to do, give you 1 maybe 2 more HP? Then you remap it so it all works and that's more money spent for really marginal improvement. I know lots of riders that won't even think twice about dropping several hundred dollars for a new exhaust or even thousands.

Or maybe you want new lightweight wheels because that will help decrease rotational weight and make a big difference, but let’s face it, we are racers and don't want to spend $2K on a set of wheels!  Plus me personally my skill level isn’t at the level to where I am going to notice a difference, and if you are honest with yourself the majority of us would fall into that category.

Maybe you noticed that your new suit in 2013 was a little tight at the end of the season and taking out the back or chest protector to fit into it.  Maybe you are thinking you'll have to go up a size or spend January thru April running hours on a treadmill to try and lose the weight. I know for me that was my situation this past year when I got back to the track, and I wasn’t too happy with that.

What if I told you to put less focus on the bike, and more on you?

Once I put less focus on the bike and more on my body, I was able to ride longer without getting tired, was able to fit properly into my race suit without taking off extra protection to fit into it and I lost 25lbs in the process.  I don't know about you, but there is no way I can shed 25lbs off my race bike unless I spent a TON of money for custom carbon fiber EVERYTHING!

So if you can relate to any of this, join me and some friends on December 19th at 9pm on how you can join in on a Motorcycle Rider Group Challenge starting the beginning of the year.  This will help us all get started on preparing for this upcoming season and dropping some of those holiday pounds.  Hear about a system that has worked not just for me, but also for AMA pro riders such as Jake Holden and other WERA championship riders.

Also, in spirit of competition and our inner bench racing, we are going to have a grand prize for the best results from the challenge of a Moto Series track day, OMRL race entry, Iron Pony gift card or $100 in product.  So make sure you join in to listen and get the chance to beat your fellow racer for a great prize.

Join us on December 19th at 9pm from your computer at http://www.anymeeting.com/bncfitness and we will explain everything and answer any questions! Myself and Brian will be doing the challenge with everyone in preparation for this upcoming season.

What if I told you that spending money on my bike was because buying new shit for my bike was fun for me, and adding bolt ons was my hobby? You think I had half the shit I did on my bike to go faster?? PLEASE SON! Let's be honest..

And this post coming from the guy who has a wheel purse? :)

Your sales pitch is that you ride longer? But you've slowed down by like 6 seconds... That isn't a very good pitch!

I say we cut the pyramid shit and let people keep supporting Riders Discount, Iron Pony, STG, etc and keep buying new shiny stuff for their BIKES :)

I would agree with Dub that the majority of mods done are because people have money burning in their pockets. I mean Dub went the same speed on a ninja 250 as he did on the last few 600s with all the crap on it.  :boxing:

Ya but the 250 had a bazzaz on it! It was way fast. My 600 was too fast for the slicks I was running.. I needed some of those moto gp bridgestones.

If u don't want it, or need it.. Move on!

APCh8r is just trying to help those who are looking to improve themselves. If interested, log in Thurs.. If not, don't.

I know I'm looking forward to it!

I'm guessing you don't get on here much, that's how this place works. It appeared to me that Dub was trying to inform people on things, if people don't like that then I wouldn't post on a public forum. Also, everyone seams to jump peoples shit for trying to sell stuff on here without being a sponsor but I guess it's ok for some to do it?
