This will be my last year as a PRO.  I am doing the mid-ohio round and this time I am going all in with all I have learned.  I will post up more for sure I just have allot to accomplish and went all in lol.  YES the 209 is a BAD tire and it may have worked for a short point in time,but IMO not worth a try if u have ANYTHING better accessible.  I love our sport soooo much and I am going to focus on helping once I have fulfilled my dream.  I am going to freaking fly this year.

They only make you ride first session of the day In novice if you never been there,then you go to your group after that. It's not bad ,you have time to check the track ,and look for correct line.nex

Never EVER "save" A good tire and substitute for a tire you are not SURE of.  Tires are the most important thing on the planet.  Track riding is a very expensive sport and tires is the LAST place EVER

I believe it brother.  Makes me glad to hear you're running Mid O this year, first time taking my boy to the races will be this year, so hope to see you FLY!

I hope my post didn't come off like I don't appreciate the advice, I do.  Actually has me thinking about how much my experience with them sucked...broken bike, banged up shoulder and 2 wasted track days trying to ride around the lack of confidence inspired by the 209's.  I hate to waste something that is paid for, but I guess there is no point in tossing good money after bad.  Anyone want a burn out tire? haha

 

Saw the pics and videos of the Junkies trip to Jennings....looks like everyone had a blast!

My pos is almost together after a long winter. Just need some help from jerry to change my fork springs since iv never done it before. Plastics are on their way from the painter.

Anyone else have much to do to get ready?

Haha thanks Jerry. After going over things with you and talking to ryan I think we got it figured out

Was a pretty dumb thing to forget the springs when trying to change fork springs.

Not a total loss. It was good to see you and Tim again. Hope that all you guys have a safe and enjoyable trip.

I have trackmaster on my phone....wasn't all that impressed without buying an external gps.  Figured a used lap timer would hold its value than a new external gps(couldn't find a used one) so I picked up a lap timer.  I do like the cool shit you can do with adding it to video and stuff though.

 

On another note....even though it is 50* outside, unheated garages are still cold enough to see your breath.  Did get my electrical problem figured out (knock on wood).  Tonight is now the fun part of installing all the goodies.

Right now it's just the 2 of us, and I know we both would like to have at least 1 more person to share the ride/gas with. Anyone still on the fence looking for a ride? We are in Cleveland and could stop in Columbus on our way down if needed. Anyone already going with 2 bikes that would like to join up with us? I can fit 4, and the crew cab fits 4 comfortably. Gas would be cheap if we split it 4 ways. If we don't find at least 1 more we might be out.

 

If you're still looking for a ride, hit me up and help make up my mind to go!

I think 2 days at Jennings is all I can do, mostly because of vacation at work. I have a lot of stuff planned already for this summer and 3 weeks goes fast.

 

It really doesn't matter which 2 days, I'm open to either Sat/Sun or Sun/Mon. If we did Sat/Sun, my plan would be leave Thurs immediately after work and drive as far as we can get. Do the rest of the drive Friday, so we can get there and be ready for Sat morning. Do the track days, pack up Sun and start heading back as far as we feel like. Then make the rest of the drive Mon. If we did Sun/Mon, I would do pretty much the same itinerary, just push it back a day.

F4iguy and myself need passenger space since we can't fit in Dan's truck.....but we are planning on doing 3 days so schedules conflict :(  If anyone is looking for a ride or to have their bike hauled for all 3 days shoot me a PM or post up.

Well it looks like we are leaning towards the Sun/Mon option since Hollywood would have to take off work Friday to make it there by Saturday, but he's off the whole next week for spring break. (College boys and their "spring breaks"...)
