With weight savings at the forefront of the new design, gone is the replaceable sole. However, SIDI uses a dual compound sole designed for longevity. Also note the heel cup is significantly cut back, still keeping protection in the key area but cutting away at the inside of the cup to maintain a slim profile and cut unnecessary weight. The Italian gear company SIDI has been a leader in highly technical footwear in the motorcycle industry since 1970. SIDI have taken the top half of their SIDI Vertigo Lei and cut if off resulting in an aggressive, mid-height sport oriented boot for ladies. This boot is full of technical features such as replaceable sliders, synthetic leather, adjustable air vents, and Cambrelle interior lining. The SIDI Apex Lei is a quality boot, perfect for cruising around town or even spirited rides on your favorite road, all the while knowing your feet and ankles will be fully protected. The Apex Lei boots use the same race shock absorbing, dual compound sole you would see on their top of the line boots. Also note the extra protection for your Achilles on the back of the shoe. Nearly everything that could come in contact with the ground in a crash is replaceable. The heel cup, ankle slider, and toe slider are all replaceable and secured with simple phillips screws. These boots have an outer construction of Technomicro Microfiber and a Teflon mesh inner lining. The nylon inner sole of the boot features removable arch support. The Techno VR System allows you to fine tune these boots for the perfect fit around the calf. Vents on the outer sides of these boots give you the option for extra airflow and are easy to operate.
