Using all new valve stacks, the compression and rebound adjustments have improved even more over the MkII. With the TTX GP, you'll get a wider range of adjustment with more consistent feedback on a lighter shock body. Initially what you'll notice when you receive your Ohlins TTX GP shock is that you can adjust the TTX GP rebound and compression with your fingers by turning the knobs. The MkII required an allen key to make any adjustment. Diving deeper into the valving, the TTX MkII valving was quite a bit thinner and had no support at the end of the needle resulting in a needle that flexed due to internal pressure giving you non-linear changes in adjustment. The TTX GP valving is much beefier with a fully supported needle giving you more consistent changes in the adjustments. This is the same shock the Riders Discount Triumph team used to finish off their season resulting in placing as the top Triumph team. A steering damper helps keep the front end in line preventing the dreaded "tank slappers." Available from Riders Discount are the linear piston style Ohlins steering dampers that are used by the top motorcycle racing teams in the world. Even if your motorcycle comes equipped with a damper from the factory, they aren't as precise or as adjustable as an aftermarket damper like the Ohlins pictured here. Included with the kits that replace a factory unit is a resistor to eliminate any warning lights that may appear when you remove the old damper. Precision machinery on any included brackets.
