  6. The Concours motorcycle is designed for the sport-touring enthusiast who wants the engine and chassis performance of a sportbike, but demands the comfort and convenience necessary for those extended road trips that make life more interesting. As a true sport-tourer, the Concours handles twisty backroads as easily as it cruises the highway, thanks to a rigid chassis and 997cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine. The engine produces strong power throughout the rev range and a gear-driven counterbalancer smoothes vibration. The engine is matched to a six-speed transmission to keep the engine at a relaxed rpm at highway speeds. 13. A deal too good to pass up has come my way and sadly I don't have room for more than 2 bikes so... My beloved project/track bike is being put up for sale. I picked it up from this forum 2 years ago and it's seen 4 track days at Mid-O with me as the pilot. I'm not in a super-duper hurry to sell... looking for $2,000. Bike runs well, but it may need its valves adjusted. Has a 996 front end, sprung stock with 7.5wt oil. Stock rear shock Bike is stripped down of all non-essential electronics Fuel injected Have title, clean Rear tire is new (Pilot Power 3) Front tire has maybe 2 or 3 more track days worth of life (take-off from my street bike) Fairings repaired and repainted over the winter, sharkskinz fiberglass Woodcraft rearsets OR sticker on swingarm (essential) Somewhere between 70 and 80 horsepower, she had some engine work done (higher compression) back in her WERA days, no bore kit or anything to my knowledge Fair warning, if you're looking for a pristine bike with no blemishes or beauty marks, this is not the one for you. There are a few other members on here that can attest to the fact that the bike runs and is pretty quick for an older girl. Anyhow, pictures:
  14. The thought occurred that I'd probably have more fun in an open top Jeep than at warp speed on the Bandit. So, anyone out there have a Wrangler or a CJ-7 (complete or a project) they're looking to trade? http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/bar/5392954056.html
  15. 2007 Kawasaki ZX6R Race/Track Bike- $4600 OBO Email for pics because it never lets me f@cking upload them on here. (mpm109@case.edu) This bike has served me very well the last three seasons and has been fairly competitive. Unfortunately, I'm going into my last year of school and I need the cash. The bike is a turn key race bike that has everything you need to go racing or have fun at track days. Motor is stock and reliable. Mods include: Elka triple clicker shock GP Suspension 25mm fork cartridges Scotts steering dampener Galfer stainless steel brake lines Attack Race Bodywork (professionally painted but 3 seasons old so definitely not perfect) Woodcraft clip-ons Vortex rear sets Leo Vince slip-on and mid-pipe w/ Pinebox header Bazzaz Fuel Injection Custom map/tune by Dyno Tune Motorsports (112 hp) -1, +2 sprockets BMC Race air filter Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting, and I have some spares that will go with the bike. It will be at Nelson Ledges on 8/31 and Pitt Race on 9/14 unless it sells before then. Clean street title in hand. 440-478-8467 mpm109@case.edu
  16. 2012 Street Triple R with about 3,600 miles, Diablo Red The good: Excellent condition, very clean bikeBar end mirrorsDaytona fork springs/internals and adjusters. Gets rid of the slightly "spongy" front end feel the STR usually has.Less than 300 miles on brand new Michelin Pilot Road 3's.Just changed all the fluids, oil/brakes/radiator over the winter. Chain/sprockets, pads/rotors are all in excellent condition as would be expected for 3600 miles. The bad: One small scratch on the tank, one smaller scratch on the lip of the front rimBought as a Salvage Title. I rebuilt it and it currently has Rebuilt Title that can be titled/registered no problem. Even though it has a rebuilt title, it has a BRAND NEW frame. I have receipts to show it was replaced by Triumph under warranty due to a neck bearing failure, unrelated to the original reason for the salvage title. So no worries about the frame being twisted/bent or anything other than new. I'll be posting pics tonight.

  19. Winter is right around the corner and unfortunately for most of us in the US this means we'll have to put away our toys for hibernation. But what is actually involved in preparing a motorcycle for winter storage? Some people are okay with parking their bikes for the winter just as they left it after their last ride and while that may work for some of the warmer climates, it's not recommended for those of us in the frozen north. There seems to be a lot of confusion as to what is actually involved in getting a bike ready for winter storage with varying opinions from every rider. In this thread you'll find a general idea of what is required to get your bike through the winter and out on the other side as good as you left it. We're going to highlight some of the best winter prep products here, all of which are available from Riders Discount. If there is something you don't see here but want for your winterization needs, contact our expert sales staff by giving MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Prefer email? No problem, send us a message through this forum with the products you're looking for or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! So what are some of the key winter storage products available to prep your bike for the cold season? Stands to prevent your tires from flat spotting, anti-freeze for coolant, fuel stabilizer to prevent your gas from breaking down, fogging oil to prevent cylinder corrosion, battery tender to keep your battery fresh, and a bike cover to keep your bike warm. Just kidding, a bike cover will help keep your bike clean and partially dust free throughout winter. One thing not pictured are muffler and intake plugs to keep pests out, although a couple paper towels stuffed in your exhaust and intake should suffice. Street riders likely already have anti-freeze coolant but it never hurts to give your bike a good flush and refill every year. If you have ran any kind of track time this year, there's a good chance you don't have anti-freeze properties in your coolant and getting it changed out is a necessity. There are numerous options available for anti-freeze and we sell them all. Pictured here is Maxima Coolanol. Engine Ice is also common and available from Riders Discount as well. Fuel stabilizer is recommended if you plan on storing your bike for longer periods of time. Now, regarding batteries, if you have a lithium ion battery, remove it, bring it inside, and store it in a closet. These shouldn't need a charge, however if you think it may, go ahead and give us a call and we'll get one on the way for you. If you have an OE style acid battery, plug in the Battery Tender and leave it. That's it. You don't need to remove it from the bike if you don't want to. One last thing, a common misconception we've seen is to start your bike periodically through the off-season and get it up to temp. You can look at it from time to time but you really don't need to start it up. Just let it sit and fire it up come spring time. So what do you guys and gals do to get ready for winter? (Be prepared for California riders to post up a witty remark about them continuing to ride...)

  24. So, 100% official for sale thread. Mods can delete the feeler thread as I will have more info here and pics. 2015 Triumph 675R LE Danny Eslick #1 of 47. This bike was hand built by Brian Gibson (owner of Rider's Discount) for Triumph. This was also to be given to Danny personally by the COO of Triumph, Matt Sheehan. However, it was not and was set to reside in the Home offices of Triumph on the second floor of their main showroom. However, when I joined Triumph, we didn't have any 675Rs available and I was sold this unit after some constant nagging. Bike was shipped as shown in the street picture. There is no manuals or tool kit. The rear passenger pegs and stock rear seat were never shipped, either. Just some full disclosure items. Bike was used for photo shoots and some two up rides for the Barber event back when it was introduced. While riding the bike, someone did not secure the rear seat cowl and it flew off causing damage to the beautiful paint job. Has small knicks on the plastics but is in great shape. Had about 700 miles on it when I bought the bike. Bike was built with the idea that they were going to do 47 total. Each bike was to have the number it was in line painted on the front fairing near the headlight. Due to this being the first one and hand assembled by Brian in 90 degree heat, it does NOT have the #1 painted into the red area that you will see on the other 46 units. I also have a great email chain from Brian confirming he built the bike and certifying it to be special. I also have a cool decal that Brian sent me that was to be placed on the bike. I also have the certificate as seen in the pics. Quick details: -1288 miles. All track for either photo shoots or track days and racing. I have 4 days of racing on the bike... -Clean title in hand Street parts that are either installed or boxed up: -2015 LE Danny Eslick Rider's Discount painted OEM fairings by Andrew Swenson. -Stock white gas tank as it came on the bike. Race tank is a painted OEM stock tank to match the plastics. Street tank does NOT have a pump in it. -Stock OEM wire harnes and ECU -Stock OEM ABS unit and lines -Stock Shock linkage -Stock triple trees -Attack rearsets -Triumph anodized axle blocks, oil fill and dipstick caps -Triumph shark fin/chain guard -Renthal rear sprocket and 520 kit with gold DID chain -Renthal grips -Arrow slip-on -Triumph case cover protection kit -Pirelli Corsa front and rear street/track tires Race parts on the bike and being sold with as it sits: -Ohlins front and rear. Fronts have been revalved and shimmed with fresh oil while TTX rear the same. Front springs with spares included. Rear spring updated and spare included. All suspension work done by Matt Carr at CarrMoto -Misc gearing for 520 kit. -Armor race plastics with custom matte white with pearl matte green clear, gloss black tail and lower, neon green accents and subframe -Triumph Kit wire harness -Triumph Kit ECU -Triumph Kit idle adjust knob -Triumph Kit block off plates -Ohlins steering damper -Full Arrow race exhaust -Woodcraft rearsets -Woodcraft clip-ons -Woodcraft brake guard with neon green slider -Shori Lithium Battery -Zero Gravity windscreen -Spiegler custom front and rear brake lines. -Carbon fiber tank guards -BMC air filter -Apex Manufacturing rear shock linkage -Apex Manufacturing rear shock plates -Apex Manufacturing modified triple trees with insert Motor is bone stock. Everything was pulled apart and greased and serviced when turned to race. Bike is seriously clean and runs amazing. Spares: Note: Spares are also listed above under the stock section. I boxed these as I wanted to keep them for someone that may want the bike as a street bike. But, if needed, they would be used as spares. -Stock OEM gloss white tank. No pump. DOES HAVE A SET OF CARBON FIBER PROTECTORS ON IT. -Stock triple trees -Attack rearsets complete -Stock clip-ons -Triumph shark fin chain guard (NEW IN BOX) -Triumph anodized axle blocks and oil fill cap in black (NEW IN BOX) -Triumph Kit chain tensioner kit (NEW IN BOX) -Misc gearing -Spare OEM subframe -Stock windscreen -Race Kit catalog (Digital) -OEM Service Manual (Digital) -Triumph Bike cover Overall, a great bike and we have spent some time dialing in the bike for race. Handles like a razor blade. We just started testing and turned over to Pirelli and have all notes for Dunlop as well as what seems to be working with the Pirellis. Will continue to develop as we have some races coming up if not sold by then. This is a no BS bike that I am not going to split up. I think my price is fair considering the spares, the LE factor and the idea that as a street bike, these are going for decent money. What you see as racebikes are still holding value and with all the street stuff here, my price is inline with others that do not have anything additional. Located in Columbus, OH and willing to deliver or meet. Shipping would be all on you. Asking $13,500. Everything. Now to the pics:
  25. posting for a friend: "Selling my street bike since I don't ride it any more. It has just shy of 52k on the odometer but has always been meticulously maintained. Oil changed every 3k with amsoil full synthetic. Front forks were refreshed last year with 10wt and has .85 springs and gold emulators from race tech installed. Should be good for about #180 rider or so. Has a 2005 gsxr1000 shocked installed on the rear and Dunlop q3 tires will a little over half treadlife remaining. Also has rental dirt bars installed since I liked how comfortable they are. The bike was lowsided by the first owner on the left side so there is a bit of damage to the tank. I love this bike but it needs to go. I will update with pictures later tonight since I don't have any on my phone at the moment. 2200 obo." contact Nathan @ 513-600-0554 located in trenton, Oh. he's not kidding when he said its meticulously maintained. it does run/ride great, just has miles from being transportation to and from work for a couple years. i'll have pics up shortly.
