  1. Sorry for the ambiguity. In my haste to post this and get back to work, I didn't present a very clear message. The tickets are for the Detroit Motor Show at the arena in Detroit. They are good until this Sunday 1.27.13. I got them last week, but forgot that I had them. Hopefully that clears up any confusion.
  2. As the title states... I have two tickets to the show that I'm not going to be able to use. I and the tix are in Columbus, so post up if you can meet me and take them off of my hands.
  3. Todd, I spoke with Dale a couple of weeks ago, and I'm leaning toward doing a build. I wanted to come in this week, but I've just been really busy. If I can break away on Saturday morning/afternoon, I'll be in then to check you guys out.
  4. Good luck with the sale AND the MOVE!
  5. Would you ride it if we installed a dry clutch?
  6. Really sorry to hear about your loss. Just try to stay focused on how great those 12 years were.
  7. You should definitely hear the pump prime when turning it on and disabling the "kill switch". Things to check if you're not hearing that: 1. Battery connections 2. ECU Connectors 3. Fuses 4. Relays 5. (and this is a lesson that I learned the hard way) Power Commander and cables. There was literally a wire running from the PC to the neg. terminal of my battery. At some point (while riding) that same wire wound up touching the pos. terminal and the spark eventually burned through the wire. Bike would no longer start (pump wouldn't prime). Soldered the wire, re-insulated it, and I've been good to go since. Also, prop the tank, and check the wires running to the pump. Luckily, they are accessible without having to drain the tank and remove the pump. If removing the pump, it may not be a bad idea to clean/replace your fuel filter.
  8. Glad that you and your family made it out of that unharmed!
  9. No problem man! Sorry that it took me this long to get it done!
  10. I realized that this is long past due, but I wanted to briefly share with the OR Family just how satisfied I am with the work that Brian did when tuning my RC. Since I kinda went quasi-crazy with the exhaust and breather mods, the RC became a bit unstable in lower RPMs, so my dyno session wasn't going to be a quick plug-pull-adjust session. There were a few pulls, adjustments, and a considerable amount of "test riding" that took place. It was a really hot day in July, and though we were both fatigued, Brian exhausted all possibilities (including bumping my ignition timing)to create a custom map that best suited my machine. All for an extremely good rate. Long story short, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to DTM, or send any of my friends there should they need a custom map. Thanks Brian, keep it up!
  11. What I've learned from this thread... 1. Apparently on OR, you can pull up and perpetuate a thread that was created 2min. after the site itself was launched... Hot-damn this was a long time ago! 2. And on a more serious note: I NEVER knew that wearing eye protection was law. Granted it makes perfect sense... I mean, why wouldn't you protect your eyes from debris while traveling through space at 40+ MPH? I guess coming from a state with mandatory helmet laws, moving here and seeing riders with NO cranium protection, I just assumed that OH was the hedonism of motorcycling and any and all clothing/accessories were deemed "optional". Honorable mention to PA, Del, and the other states.
  12. It would be worth it to go to DTM. Brian is detail oriented and does great work. I just got a tune from him yesterday... Customer review thread forthcoming!
