I'm not using it to cover stickers and scratched. I'm using it to cover the color. I also used this instead of regular paint because I haven't done a lot of painting and didn't know what type of job I would be able to do. Yet again, if I mess up, I can peal it off.

I bought the bike with a solid black windscreen. That's the only reason I painted over it. I still haven't touched up a few spots on the corners, but I'll get to it when I can. My wife is deployed and it's hard with 2 kids to do stuff like that.

I think I went through 7 cans, but I also did 4 rims. I think it might have taken 5.5 cans, but like I said... I put it on thick.

I used cans... Learned a lot in the process. It took quite a few cans to do the job. More than I thought. They say about 4 coats, but I know what bugs can do to paint, so I went with more like 7. Make sure you paint it in an really well lit place. I think I'm going to have to do the tail again. Some of the paint is coming off of the fairing, in the cracks. It was the first piece that I painted and the only thing I can think of is that I didn't clean it well in those places. I'll take it off and repaint it. They do make a motorcycle kit. I might get it if I do another bike. The cans put a texture on it that comes from the spitting of the rattle can. It's fine, but if you want a really smooth look and feel, you are going to have to shoot it with a paint gun. I have one of those as well and really want to try it out. I still have to do the tank, but want to ride it more than paint it. hahaha

Truck plate on a car?

There are a few spots that I have to touch up, now that I've cleaned it and got it out in the sun. Not a big deal. The tail needs to be removed and repainted. Not a big deal either. I planned on doing it anyway. (Because of a sticker that's under) the tail was the first piece that I sprayed, so I was learning with that piece.

First, I've decided to keep it for a bit longer. Second, I picked up a rear fairing, off the internet, because mine was cracked. It had scratches in it and you can see it through the plastidip. There is NO prep work with this stuff, other than a real good cleaning. So you can see EVERYTHING. Third, if a buyer wanted to see the paint underneath, I'd write in the contract that if there are any marks or scratches not previously discussed, they would get their money back. Although it would have to be removed at the time of the sale.

I need to wash it... I'll get it out today to wash it, take pics, and go for a ride. Here's another one when I first started. The fender wasn't mounted, only sitting on the tire.

I know there are a lot of people out there that do not like this stuff. Say it's a poor man's answer to a paint job. I understand... I've been hearing more and more about this stuff and the ONLY reason why I even considered it is because it can be removed really easily. I was on the verge of selling my bike and decided to see how it would come out. If I didn't like it, I could take it off... I took all the fairings off when I painted them and got everything done besides the tank. I'll get that this weekend.

Yeah, doesn't make sense.
