  6. 1997 Regal Rush xr2 jet boat-Mercury 175 hp engine Selling my jet boat. 175 hp mercury block (same block mercury has used in outboards from roughly 88-99), crazy acceleration and top speeds in the 60’s…it’s a 4 person jetski with enough power to pull a tuber or a skier with ease approx. 15 feet long. It is in excellent shape cosmetically. The hull flawless with no gouges or scratches; the gel coat is in great shape. Interior of the boat is perfect. Upholstery is in great shape no cuts, seam splitting or fading at all. It has lights front and rear along with a brand new bimini top (installed but never used) a mooring cover (used once) and an excellent shape storage/transport cover. Trailer is also in like new shape and is galvanized. I went through the bearings last year. The boat currently has the engine out of it. It wasn’t running right at the end of last year on the last trip to the lake. I took the boat to a mechanic and he diagnosed it as needing the #6 piston replaced, the cylinder resleeved and the crank turned. I don’t want to put the time or money into the repairs so I’m selling as is. I paid $5,000 in july last year for the boat. The jet pump, impellor are in excellent shape. The engine was removed with the intention of reinstalling, all parts are there would make a great project for someone that knows what they are doing. The only trade I would be interested in would be a bowrider plus some cash on my end (17-20 ft), or possibly a jetski. Contact me through call/test at 419-389-20 eight five or Andrew.schlagheck@calphalon.com i can possibly help with delivery etc. we can work that out after auction end.
  7. thats awesome. wish i had the confidence to rip into something like that! good work.
  8. i wouldnt own one if RC if it had to be my only bike. get some vfr clipons for that hawk and you'll up the comfort 50% no joke i love mine. between that and a new seat and rejet its a different bike
  9. go to superhawkforum.com i can check when i get home what mine is jetted at, should be close to what you want. i do know that the carbs in mine have a larger main in the front then they do in the rear or vice versa...i went with the rec jets from the forum and it was spot on and runs like a new bike.
  10. i rattle can mine every couple years flat black for a couple of reasons first my superhawk isn't worth shit, second rattle can costs me $5 after i buy blue painters tape and third my bike isn't worth shit. i tape off, scuff with scotch brite shoot the paint, wait 20 min shoot again and then take the tape off. it doesn't last but a year or two but it looks ok and it costs me $5...i can paint it a lot of times for $5. if it was a nicer bike i'd most likely drop the coin to get a "nice" paint job but it'd still be flat black because i like it :-)
  11. i've been looking to get one of these as a first gun/carry piece. if you dont mind report back after you've shot it some more.
  12. i purchased foam from sargent and had a local upholster redo mine on my superhawk...they had a bunch of different covering selections. all in i had $100 and it looks/feels awesome, much cheaper then an off the shelf aftermarket seat.
  13. looking to get something with a little more protection then my skechers boots i currently wear. 9-10 depending on fit. pics to andrew.schlagheck@calphalon.com if you can. thanks andy
  14. i'd bet my left nut this is the issue. i replaced mine on my SH 4 years ago when mine died on me acting similar to what you just described. i bought a used RR off ebay form a gsxr and followed some how to off of thesuperhawkforum.com worked perfect. my wires were toast coming out of it. i've had the same battery for the last 6 years. its the RR i almost gurantee it, good advise to use dielectric grease and check grounds also. i had a few loose.
  15. RC51 undertail will not fit. i used an aftermarket cheapie that i found on ebay. i also bought a glass hugger/chainguard combo off a member on superhawkforum.com
  16. congrats! check out superhawkforum.com lots of good info...get the forks rebuilt or replaced, upgrade the front calipers to some gsxr 6 pots or some f4i's and add some vfr clips ons for an even more comfy ride. i love the hell out of mine. i have a remus ti exhaust that i chopped 8 or so inches off of 4 years ago bc it was to quiet. she barks when you're on it but otherwise is just a nice burble.
  17. i love mine and wouldnt sell even to make a few $. check out superhawkforum.com lots of info...the price on them has dropped so much recently also. most fun ive ever had on a bike and ins calls it a sport touring bike so it's much cheaper for me.
  18. funny ad too http://toledo.craigslist.org/grd/2209368997.html ha
  19. I've never taken it to the track if you go to www.lightningrodder.com there is every possible power combo known to man tried and reported on so i never saw the need. i got 18 mpg driving back from Arkansas when i bought it but have seen as bad as 10. it does fair to good i'd say in mixed driving for what it is. just depends if you like to drive in boost or not.
