  1. If you are buying from family (aka, trustworthy source) you absolutely do not need an separate attorney unless you are paying CASH. If you are getting financing, attorney reviewed title work is part of the services you pay for as part of that transaction. Any LO with half a brain can write up the FSBO contract, and your good to go. No point in paying for the attorney work twice, since you will already be paying for it!
  2. If your credit score is good, your PMI is next to nothing. I can guarantee that money would be better served in either 1) a reserve account 2) aggressive investments 3) a Combination of both. Many Credit unions have in-house 10-15% down no PMI products.
  3. Ever drove an NA 996 or 997? They need more power to loo, but if you buying that, you buying 1) Looks 2) Handling 3) Clout. IMO. Looks-wise, I find the 944 much more attractive.
  4. Yup, they just had their first even there last weekend.
  5. Bump for a very cool car. Ever have it Dyno'd?
  6. Hey OP (and any other parents). Read this twice.... I (and the other 99.9% of drovers) did not take a driving class at a race track, and we are doing OK. :dumb: I am not saying it is wrong, I just wonder if this and taking the kid to the drag strip sets the wrong precedent...
  7. I see a theme here... Hindsight is always 20/20, but I think there is a fine line between bringing your kids into "the hobby" and showing them "Racing is fun" Kids are kids, and with varying levels of emotional intelligence I am not sure all of this is a great idea. Moving forward, having her pay for the repairs, insurance cost in perpetuity...ect is a must IMO. Grounding won't teach her much in the long run.
  8. Oh Stap Thats like PR gold man! Almost impossible to find a clean one that is not a million dollars anymore.
  9. Thanks! I am frankly shocked this motor is running well (really at all) it has about 4 times the maximum allowable crankshaft thrust play. :lolguy:
  10. Hey ya'll Busy with life and posting less than I used to, but the Hobo has had a busy season. Hurt a motor at the first IFO this year in the Semis. Nothing avoidable, just 5+ year old rods that prob should have been replaced 3 years ago. :lolguy: So I slapped together a motor from what I had laying around and ended up taking the win at IFO at D42 in a tight race with fellow CR OG Jordan in his GTR (Sorry Jordan!) Also have been very into prep's as of late. Unfortunately, I lost a gear racing a very nice 91mm blown stang that ended up winning No Prep up north. I went to the next event at Magnolia, and called him our first round, I wanted blood! That sucker rolls out, but I took the win! Unfortunately, that race did not finish up due to a big wreck, but I am excited for the next one. If you guys have not been to one, its a MUST attend event. Best energy I have seen in drag racing in a long time.
  11. For reference, how much did you get for it?
  12. I was 20 feet from all of this. It's not as simple as an innocent guy loading up his car to leave getting shot. His crew and the people with the truck were arguing for a solid 10-15 minutes before this happend. There are several things that escalated this, there are several things that could have prevented this. It sucks and I wont make light of his passing, but this could have easily been prevented and his family is a BIG reason why this escalated to the level that it did.
