  1. nothing to add they all hit it on the head... sadly driver input error... just work on being smooth.. and rev matching it will save you some pain now and as you increase pace
  2. sadly we wont be making it to race this year have fun
  3. sadly the juice box isn't really known for being the best "commander " type plug in. even when tuned they don't have a lot of adjustability. along with Tim a slip on doesn't really do much except improve sound unless you remove the giant catalytic converter as well. that said the only way to tell is dyno
  4. I second Ryan at 28 Motorsports. he does amazing work
  5. The STT womens only track day is by far my favorite event of the year, no egos only a want to learn and they take to it so well!
  6. I had a student once that wouldn't go over 35mph down the back straights... err well anywhere.. the had never been at highway speeds but had gotten talked into a trackday by friends.. by the end of the weekend and lots of calming talks we were able to have the student break 100 down the straights and start using the race line . had a blast and has been back many times since.. luckily we were lighter just for staffing sake we were able to put a coach in front and in back as lead and blocker lol.. but so worth it.. we used the race line everywhere but the straights and pulled the student over when on those it was a such a blast to see how far they came !
  7. well that was fun , 42* 15-25 mph winds and solid rain / sleet all day.
  8. was there with Sportbike Track Time, it was a fun event as always .. lots of chest puffing and HP jockeys . Inde doesn't ever run AF as they are not set up for it as they never use their dyno other than the dyno days.. no one there is trained to tune. but still a good time.. but man it got cold and started to rain quick so we got out
  9. ahh man, 1 week out.. and heading to cold gingerman… and I still dont have my bodywork back rut roh
  10. haha nice... yeah if you crash period unless taken out) you get a fail and can retake as early as the next event during my race testing we had those 2 guys then total of 5 out of 10 others wreck over the day... it was 40 as the high and whatnot but sheesh
  11. it certainly is easy, though in all fairness most instructors that will be testing you for your race license want to see that you are atleast smooth and consistent , you dont need to be fast, just a very good handle on how tracks work and the ability to run good lines... that plus passing a test and not falling down are all you need... fwiw, I have tested quite a few people and you would be surprised how many cant make it through the day with out crashing... that said in my own race class waay back in 2011 we had 2 guys wreck in the first session .. 1 never made it out of the pits..
  12. I know it is not what you are asking for, Though I'm a coach with Sportbike Track Time. Have him come to one of our events, we have one of the best Novice instructional classes in the business. feel free to contact me , we have a new rider program that could help out as well.
  13. if ya have any questions let me know i'll certainly help where I can!
  14. what classes? Superbike? supersport? 750b? or all of the above?
  15. I certainly didn't I was hit by a Turkey Vulture on route 536 about 12 years ago.. hit me right in the helmet and basically knocked me clean out
  16. yeah that's intense … I have video someplace of myself missing a Turtle (legit almost 2 foot long ) by inches in the middle of the track at Jennings. on the long back sweeper at roughly 140. they warn you daily about turtles or gators on the track. At Grattan I watched 2 deer jump the track in the morning from the middle pond area to the woods. right as the track went hot. it's crazy but not unheard of... those guys just got unlucky
  17. i have to throw it out as well Sportbike Track time will have their schedule out soon, We offer big discounts on days when buying bundles or loyalty cards, included in all memberships is trackday crash/ mechanical "insurance" meaning if you crash or have a mechanical and are unable to continue we will credit up to a full day for future use. as well as a generous discount and reschedule policy as well as tire and product discounts through STS and APEX.

  21. i've been lucky enough that being a coach my head is on a swivel... I spend most of my time riding while turned around, its weird I know. that said I kinda get used to expecting the unexpected.. I cant tell you how many incidents ive seen on a weekend basis that would make you just shake your head. this has actually greatly helped me in racing .. but your 100% right.. time and experience will help you in the long run
  22. it's a catch 22 we all want to win... and we will all at some point do something not as intelligent to do so... I would be more worried at first about the dude you passed on the left as you then went wide and off track.. he needed to stop too and you could have collected him as well. of course it is always easy to arm chair it afterwards
