A few years ago dayton had a bunch of riders. Life happens, many left. There are still a few that lurk on here and I know some still ride.. When life allows it.

I get it.  That’s really what the group would be for, when life allows it.

I’m considering just inviting people to my house for the weekend of 9/12 for BBQ, BSing, and Bikes lol

So, do you drive a supercharged GTO, or are you just a very lucky farm animal?

Lol! Fair question.  Addressed in my other response.

I used to race liter bikes, exotics, whatever I could find from a highway roll.  Friend had an Aprilia RSV that we used to run against each other.

Don’t think I’m gonna mod the bike.  Looking at a C8 or ACR.

The N400 is a great bike to learn on.  Also, quite fun for a seasoned rider.

That was my understanding.  I was looking at the KTM 390 and CBR 500.  The ninjas appeal to the seasoned track riders pushed me over the edge.  Well, that and it was only $3500 with the KPP which included the sliders, windshield, akra, and tank guards

Another welcome, south Dayton guy here..

Blown Goat, I assume that is a car? Photos?

My last house was behind the Quail Run Racquet club in Bellbrook before they built the CostCo there.

Yea on the car.  Sold it not too long ago but already getting the itch to get something else with 4 wheels

First build @ 626 rwhp on stock block with D1:

    Mid-Ohio Dyno Contest:

F1R but prior to forged 390

  5. Hey all,

Came from the car world but always wondered about a bike.  Covid lockdown made prices too tempting.  Purchased a new 2018 Ninja 400 on 3/28/20.  Have about 1,800mi on her now.

Have a friend local that picked one up also.  He’s not always available so figured I would drop in, say hey, and see if there were any riding groups or get togethers like in the car world.

Live north of Dayton in Tipp City, on the border of Huber Heights.  About 2mi from where I-70 and I-75 intersect.

    Cheers,

    Jim

  6. It definitely is. I started to build for the strip then stopped. I just enjoy street driving the crap out of it. These cars are reasonably easy to get into the 11s. 10s can be had for not much more, but anything faster than that and should've bought a better platform to start with. Rather than go down that road, I stopped.

The next car will be a different story. The goat is here to stay though. If Charlie's nice, I might let him drive it...not really.

  7. Hey Everyone,

I originally started to register because I'm registered to attend the NTR Drag Day. With the awesome spring weather we had, I needed to find out if it was still on. One of your members here posted on our forums over at Buckeyegoats. I also met some of you at the Dyno Tune Motorsports Dyno Day this past Saturday in Galloway.

Anyhow, on with it... I have a 2005 Phantom Black w/ Red interior GTO. It's not a show car, I do drive the crap out of it in the summer.

    Quick list of mods:

Stock LS2 except blower cam, pushrods, springs, and seats/retainers, etc

    Procharger D1SC w/ 4.0" pulley @ 11psi

Hardcore intake, custom cabbed larger charge & intake pipes

twin in-tank fuel pump system through 1/2" line, return style

Drag springs, BMR safety loop, 900hp stubs & halfshafts

    MGW-P Shifter, Spec 3+ clutch

    Proxses Tuned

I'm forgetting quite a bit, but that's the gist of it.

    Around 600-620rwhp

    About 530-550 rwtq

I haven't really had time to track it whole lot, thats why I was looking forward to the track rental. I'm in for the rain date though. I definitely need the seat time.

Mods are pretty much done for now as I'm pushing the ragged edge for a relatively stock motor. GTOs can only fit 275s in the back without mini tubbing :( , so hopefully the motor stays together. If not, forged, F1, mini-tub.
