2500 miles on the GSA, plus the 570 miles I put on Jason's RT on the ride home. That was some kind of moto-vacation.

I walked in the house to kisses and sushi. Life is good.

Nothing wrong with the GSA except the 2600 miles on the tires. They would have been showing cords by the time I got home. I had planned on riding home in the truck but plans change sometimes. I am about 3 hours from home and about to get back onto the interstate. I jumped off at 460 in Lexington for fuel and lunch and took the scenic way around Cincinnati... which may have been an error. Either way, I'm piloting a pretty amazing bike and it is very adept at chewing miles in comfort. Had a delicious italian sub at FatKats and that got me through the last 3 hours. Now it's time to hydrate and relax in the shade for a few minutes before I knock out the next 3 hours of slab. I am tired but not sore at all. The RT is brilliant and one would be in the garage over a Goldwing if I had any say in the matter...which I do not.
  5. Perfect bike for 2-up trips. Glad she's comfortable. I hope you both have many miles of memories ahead.

I rode my bike down last Monday. Jason trailered his bike with my truck. I had to get my bike and truck from Franklin to Robbinsville on Wednesday, so I towed it while Jason followed on his bike. Jason and Matt are riding home in my truck with the GSA and Matt's RT in tow. I'm zooming home on Jason's RT since he was kind enough to allow me to ride it. Jim is a troll. Everyone up to speed now?
  7. I hear the symphonic tones of a flat-six in your future.
  8. Yeah, I know the rule of law disagrees, but being able to zoom from 35mph to 60 and stay on line through the entire corner should be sufficiently adequate demonstration to nullify a law so grossly misapplied to vehicles and operators that know how to get down the road. Not my fault my crotch has a rocket under it and I can pilot it like a fiend. I just play the cards I am dealt.
  9. No worries. I don't make passes if I can't see through the entire corner or corners. I had all day in both cases. If I had stayed behind them I would not be back yet to type this response. Cars are just that slow.
  10. I know it isn't driving a shiny car at 20mph in a parade, but I work with what I have.
  11. Some asshole thinks his GSA is a sportbike. Fun begins at 2:30. https://gopro.com/v/wEPk36glgZbnz

    Gap Trip?

We're almost there. Three of us are in Beckley tonight. 387 miles for me today. From Akron, I-77S/800/148/145/556/NewMartinsville/180/18/paved buggy trails/129/19/4/20/60/41 into Beckley. Such a good day, but it was hot, hot, hot. I need a naked bike for days like this. The Camelbak in my tank bag was highly appreciated today. Tomorrow will be a later start due to the storm rolling in this evening. I hope 16 isn't littered with tree debris in the morning.
  13. My plan is to leave my work phone and laptop under a rock in the backyard and see how many sets of tires I can burn through in two weeks.
  14. Who's ready for two weeks in the Smokeys? This guy!
  15. To be fair, a Diavel is a cruiser like a GSA is a dirtbike. And my brother has a Tesla.. and I want one. I just want one built by Honda.
  16. I will be down there for 2 weeks. Ive never stayed at 2 wheel in. I probably should at least once.
  17. It's old, but that's ok. I turn 45 tomorrow. That's also old. Isaac turns 23 this fall. The little shit.
  18. Yep, and for $4k less than a Goldwing I get... Cornering ABS Quick shift w/ a blipper Auto sag, rebound/compression damping Actual touring range Air filter I can exchange in 20 minutes ADV wannabe street cred
