  1. Wanting to buy a 2015+ Kawasaki Vulcan S, ABS or Cafe trim. I'm located around near Boardman/Canfield area (NE Ohio), willing to travel but not really wanting to drive a couple hours. If anyone has one of these for sale or knows of someone with one for sale please send me a message! Thank you!
  2. So I need to get the tube and rim strip replaced in the back wheel of my bike. I've already purchased a new rim strip and a tube, as well as taken the wheel off of my bike. How much should it cost for me to take it to a local shop and get these replaced for me? I simply don't have the time to try to do it myself. Thanks!
  3. Hi guys, I started an automotive forum last night. I have experience with websites and such, but I've never tried growing a forum so I'm not entirely sure how to go about it. Would anyone have some recommendations? Here's a shameless promotion to the site if anyone wants to check it out (and yeah, I took some inspiration in the design from here): http://www.carsheadline.com/forum/ Also, if posting a link like that isn't allowed I'll remove it, but hopefully I'm not breaking a rule. Thanks everyone!
  4. Hey all, I did something fairly dumb. I had a backpack with me and decided to put it on my handle bars when I went into a store. I came back to find some of the rubber on the bottom of my bike had melted to my header. I got a lot of it off, but some smeared and is now stuck. Sigh. Anyone have some ideas on how to get this off without ruining my chrome? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Welcome! Beautiful bike. A friend of mine has one pretty similar. You should look into getting historical plates if you haven't already!
  6. Not sure, I'll check when I get home. The tires look brand new though and have no rot. I can tell the previous owner took extremely good care of her
  7. That's true. I want black mirrors so if I can't find one I'll probably get 2 new ones.
  8. Thank you! Thanks! I'm training myself to be extra aware. That's what I'm thinking. KBB retails it at almost $2,700 and trade in value at $1,800. I'd say I got a good deal. Here's to buying towards the end of the season Thanks Thank you! I think it looks pretty sweet, and it sounds good. Thanks! I guess anything's possible, isn't it? Thank you! Thanks! I'm loving it so far. That's what my dad said too! I don't think much has changed on the bike since 1986 haha Thanks!
  9. This is a long shot, but does anyone have a spare right mirror for a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard s40? I know basically nothing changes on the bike from year to year, so I assume most stuff is interchangeable (don't quote me on that though). If anyone has one, I'd really appreciate it. I'll obviously cover shipping and however much you want for it. Thanks guys!
  10. Like the title says, I'm getting to post here for the first time. I rode on the street for the first time on my new (to me) bike - a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard s40! Absolutely love the bike. 7,800 miles, picked it up for $1,350, and it runs & looks like a charm. I couldn't be happier with my first purchase. Not that anyone cares, but here's a picture of me on it. Happy riding!
  11. It's been a couple days since I updated this so my apologies on that. I didn't get the first s40 I looked at because the engine had a low end knock in it. I went to look at another one the next day. 2009 with 7,800 miles. Rides like an absolute dream. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Picked it up for $1,350 too so I got an amazing deal on it! The tires on the s40 I got are pretty much brand new. They grip fairly well too! That's what my dad said too (that I'll want to sell it). Probably right! luckily, I got a good deal so hopefully, if I decide to sell, I won't lose much (or any) money. I ended up getting the s40, as seen above, but I absolutely love it. I'm probably going to do a little to it in the future....no ape hangers though. Thank you! Spent $1,350 on the bike and actually had all of my gear before I had the bike. I'd really like to get my hands on some riding jeans, but for now I'm just wearing regular jeans. Other than that, I have a nice leather jacket, good leather riding gloves, and a helmet I wear. I would have loved to get a sv650, budget just didn't permit it :/ the s40 I got though is amazing!
  12. They're pretty low (27.5 inch ride height I think is what I read). A couple videos I watched said the seat was wide in the back and narrow in the front which made it comfortable. Other people I've seen/read about riding it seemed impressed and said it was comfortable. I'll report back tomorrow once I've test ridden it and (hopefully) ridden it home!
  13. Just found a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard s40 for sale around me. Guy's asking $1000 and it looks super clean so I'm going with my dad to see it tomorrow. Wish me luck! Hopefully no underlying issues.
  14. I really don't want to spend more than $1500. (I know that's not a lot and won't get a super nice bike, I'm okay with that for my first.) Thanks!
