  1. We ended up leasing a Sorento , it's nice, checked all the boxes. It's a 3 year deal. Wife is already pissed at the remote start, other than that, it's an ok people mover. I agree on you with not keeping it past warranty. The journey was a definite no go, I didn't even fit in the back seat. And no Android Auto.
  2. 2000 Miles on an R1 is equal to 20,000 on a normal bike. No human body should be folded up like that.
  3. Good chance you crack a ring... I think the swell up under the intense heat and pressure then ring endgap goes away, the failure. I'm betting a little research and a small amount of engine work would go a long way. I also think a super sport would hold up a bit better, being these engines are designed to handle the abuse a little better. The ex250 , although a great platform, I don't think would last long at all.
  4. Some of the other forums do a "highest mileage" thread every year. Thought it would be fun to compare. Also its a convent place for me to keep track here. My goal this year is to put 10K on just this bike this year. I finally have a bike I think I can reliable do that with.
  5. Very under rated bike... May not be super powerful, they are very well rounded every day bike. I spent some time atop one at the AIMExpo and at the demos at state 8
  6. Nope, was a Buell blast, that thing was junk. Sold roughly 3 weeks after I got it. Made 700 bucks on the deal tho.

    Fun Podcasts

There was a really good dirty talk show called Hidy and Frank, or something like that. But all of a sudden they went to a paid subscription to listen to their podcast, so FUKE that, ill listen to adds, but i will not PAY for a podcast.

    Fun Podcasts

"Under the hood" "Motorcycle and Misfits Podcast" "2 Enthusiast"---- (motorcycles) "All About android" "The screen savers" "twit" I can get through all these in about a week, and they all put up weekly eposids. So in the winter when im caging it to work, this keeps me from killing someone in road rage.
  11. Ended up going with a loaded Kia Sorento. Was cheaper than the other options, and got better gas mileage. The Dodge journey had absolutely no room in the rear seat, or the middle seat for that mater so really it was a none option for us. I could not get the wife to look at very many cars, she hates car shopping and this was her vechile. So out of the 3, i think we did ok.
  12. Here is the Mobius in a nice compact weather proof case. I'm thinking punch a hole in this and hard wire it to the bike so it comes on and off with the bike. It will loop record, like I said I already have one Mobius in the Focus and after 3 years it's still going strong. The only issue I really see is how bad the vibration will be. And really were to mount it.
  13. And no mini vans, I want this thing as small as possible.
  14. We just went and test drove a Hyundai Santa Fe. The SE with a bunch of options, a no money down lease (3year 36k) will run $311/month. Never had a Hyundai, was nice, nice enough for three years I guess. Would like to go look at the Nissan and the Chevy versions. This is for the wife, not sure what to do but I gotta do something, this focus won't cut it with the larger rear facing seats. The absolutely have to haves, 3rd row Heated seats Remote start. Everything thing else is just fluff to me. Thoughts???
  15. I have found the Coleman version of Frog Togs to be much better. More forgiving, and just all around better. But this may be just me
  16. If it comes in under 10K i bet it sells well, nothing else like it. If they drop a DCT in it, even more losers will buy it.
  17. Waking this thread up, as I want to set something up on the bike permanent. I currently use a Sony action cam on on the helmet, but would like to have something right on the bike set up to loop record. A Mobus camrea seems to be the current best option for a bike, being that it can be put in a weather tight case, and set up as a dash cam to loop record. One of my vehicles has a Mobius on dash cam duty, and has worked great. Any other suggestions?
  18. Well shoot, you guys are really making me wanna ride down. I have that weekend free (surprisingly) and i have a few vaca days to use yet. Raise your hand id your from CLE and would be willing to hold my hand on the way down? I have never really ridding in one direction for more than 2 hours? I have the gear, the saddle bags for the bike, and a bike that i think would make it (truth be told this spring when i do the maintenance). Im thinking leave late the 19th (take a 1/2 day off work) and get there the next?
  19. I'm kinkin the idea around of riding down. I am dieing to start doing some long trips. I have two bikes that are more than capable of long distance riding... Just never done it.
  20. Ok so do you guys ride down? Or trailer it down? Looks like 8 hours from the Cleveland area?
  21. I think your talking about Janine, she's crazy good, and is actually a teacher for the other coaches. I learn allot from her! Ya she still teaches classes from time to time.
  22. Polaris is where I teach most of my classes, top notch facility and program coordinator draws in the best coaches. Also at Hudson high school. If you are curious where classes can be taught, head over to Motorcycle ohio. But also the Harley dealerships offer their version and wont show up no the MO website.
  23. What do you ride? Or are you still looking?
