  1. I usually tell students to use their head for something other than a hat rack. I guess to hold a fender meets the criteria.
  2. What in the world is on your head B-Mac?

    Oct 7 Saturday

My daughter has a volleyball game in the morning down towards you @NinjaDoc. I'm not sure what time the game is yet. If it works out I may ride down and try to catch up with you.
  4. It was trash the plastic table cloth or trash the folding table. She was not happy with either choice.
  5. Last week I discovered I trashed the transmission in my kfx450r. I pulled the motor on Sunday and started working my way to the transmission tonight. Getting close but need to locate a flywheel puller.
  6. Rode it to work. Hit 40k miles on the way home. Changed the oil, cleaned and lubed the chain.
  7. Thanks for the ideas gentlemen. I think Andy might be onto my problem. I think I have more of a tendency to lean my upper body off and just stick my knee out. I don't really slide my butt off much. Definitely not half off half on. Maybe a quarter cheek at best. I do ride on the balls of my feet or with the peg between my toes and balls of my feet. It makes sense that if I slide off with my lower body my knee will be closer to the ground instead of my toe.
  8. Tim how does 1 go about getting better foot clearance. I drag my toe slider at times on the street and I did it on the track as well. I previously thought maybe it was due to the boots I was wearing, I still have scraped a slider a time or 2 with the new boots. When I went to the track I got rained out before the coaches had a chance to follow me. I mentioned that was my 1 thing I really wanted to fix. The other guy that was riding in my group said tuck that stuff in. That didn't help my cause.
  9. Wish I could make it. Why do people get married on a Saturday when I could be riding? Have fun and speed safely.

    Excuse to ride

My wife originally hated it as well, but seems to be coming around. I'm still shocked she let me take the oldest to Deals Gap. I get what you're saying about those rides being your favorite. I presented the trip with Tory to Deals as her birthday gift last year. She references it as the best gift she ever got. Makes us both smile anytime we talk about it. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to watch them move away and grow up. Tory will turn 15 in November. Time seems to fly nowadays.
  11. I think they need to find a different way to protest. Don't care what anybody says they are protesting I find it disrespectful. Steelers head coach is a dope btw.

    Excuse to ride

Might have to back it down a little from the pace we ran together with Jacob.
  13. @HeavyDuty I appreciate you posting this here. I personally never served, but have the utmost respect for those that have. I hate the idea of people kneeling for our national anthem.

    Excuse to ride

That problem could be solved if the wife would started riding again. She could take 1 and I could take the other. On second thought that may not be wise. My guess is pace would be a bit slower than I would like. I think the answer is I just need to ride more often to keep both of them content.

    Excuse to ride

On Labor Day I took my youngest daughter Ally out for a ride. She has never really expressed a big interest in riding with me other than a ride from school or to a friend's house. I always felt she wanted to be seen on the bike more than she enjoyed riding. What's crazy is this Labor Day ride together was brought on more by my wife than anything. As I was prepping to leave to test out my fuel pump swap, my wife asked her if she wanted to go for a motorcycle ride with me. Her response was I guess so. I took her to the best curves close to us and ran a nice pace through them. When we got home, she said "dad those curves were fun". That setup today's 3hr ride over into Pennsylvania on a road that definitely is better than what we ran a couple weeks ago. When we got home she was smiling ear to ear. She now wants to try a 5-6hr ride with me down south. Now both my daughters enjoy riding with me and for some reason the wife doesn't seem to be as worried as she was in the past about me taking the girls. It's a blast taking my girls for rides and having them enjoy it as much as I do. Now I can give my wife the excuse that riding is quality daddy-daughter time. ?
  16. Glad you were able to keep the rubber side down.
  17. I like the RS3s so far. I have not been to SEO yet to really get a feel for them in corners, but I have hit a couple of esses near home I like. So far I can't really tell a difference in feel between these and the Pilot Road 2s I was running prior. I'd check with Mike at Riders Discount before I ordered from anyone else. He beat all the prices I researched.
  18. Every time I've ever had pulsating it has come down to a warped rotor. I can't say for sure if that is your problem, but it would be my guess.
  19. I love the feeling of new tires on the bike. Felt like I was floating in the air the whole ride to work. Can't wait to get out of here and ride home to push the RS3s a bit now that I have both the rear and front mounted.
  20. I don't know if I'm supposed to post the price, but I will say he beat it.
  21. I got caught in a little bit of rain on the way home today from work. I only had the rear RS3 on. It seemed to grip well in the wet. I spooned the front on tonight. I hope to ride to work again tomorrow and see how the bike handles. @2talltim I would recommend you check with Mike next time for the RS3 if you go with them again. I think you've mentioned you get tires from Rocky Mountain. I have done the same in the past, but Mike has given me better deals.
  22. Rode it to work. When I got home I had an hour to change the rear tire. I managed to get the tire mounted and clean up the swingarm before I went to watch my daughters' volleyball games. Tomorrow I hope swap out the front tire before another volleyball game. I got 6000 miles out of pilot road 2s. That's 3 times the mileage I got out of a set Q3s. I'm giving Roadsmart 3s a shot this time. I could not pass up the $100 rebate and the stellar price Mike @RidersDiscount gave me.
  23. I sure did. I'm glad I pulled the pass the same time you 2 did. I made sure I kept pace with you 2 just watch you at work Derek. Nice riding - both of you.
  24. @Connie14I have ridden at 2 trailheads on Hatfield. I rode Rockhouse and Bear Wallow I believe we're the names. I ride a quad off road. I'm not sure which 1 you're going to. If it's Rockhouse, it is appropriately named- rocky, rough, and hard on your machine. Bear Wallow is no paved road by any means, but it it is not as rough. I enjoyed both places. I'm no extreme hill climber but I felt comfortable on all the black trails. I don't believe I tried any of the black/red. I went in with the same attitude you're approaching it with. I'm sure you'll have a good time. It's been awhile since I've been there I'm kind of jealous.
