  1. I figure an independent shop will be much cheaper than a dealer. It's a Suzuki.
  2. I am looking for ATV repair shop recommendations in the Cleveland/Medina area. I have an oil leak that probably needs a seal replaced. It's too much of a job for me to take on, so I'm looking for someone to do it. I don't mind driving a bit further if I know it will be fixed properly. Thank you.
  3. I would like to test ride a Dyna model (Street Bob because the dimensions/controls are most similar to a Super Glide Custom) and a Touring model (Road King) to see what I like when it comes to cruising country back roads.
  4. I'm coming from a sport tourer (Yamaha FZ6) so a cruiser will be different for sure. What didn't you like about the HD?
  5. Does anyone know of the NE Ohio Harley dealerships allow for longer than average test rides or rentals? I plan on buying a Harley from a private seller and not the dealership, but before I drop some big money (to me) on a bike, I want to be sure I am making the right decision. I'm hoping to take a test ride for a few hours...does any dealership allow that? I also am hesitant to do so knowing that I will not be purchasing the bike from the dealership...any advice on that? Thanks for your input.
  6. Thanks! Still for sale. They have been in the original box all winter and are ready for a new owner.
  7. Sorry you experienced this, man. Glad to hear that you are recovering well. Continue to get better!
  8. Congrats on the purchase. Looks great!
  9. Excellent condition helmet and boots still available
  10. Price reduced to $125 Plenty of time to riding time left in the season
  11. Still available, I'm sure someone needs boots.
  12. Thanks, I agree. They never gave me any discomfort at all.
  13. Location: Middleburg Hts, OH (44130) I'm selling my Cortech Latigo Air Road Race boots. They are in excellent/like-new condition. No issues at all. Never involved in an accident. I purchased them in July 2014 and have rode approximately 2K miles using the boots. They are size 10. For reference, I wear size 10 in Nike and New Balance shoes. I see these going for around $180 online, so I'm putting these up for $135. If needed, I can provide more pictures. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!
  14. Congrats on on the new bike. Ride safe!
  15. Cool concept, but like others have stated liability might be the killer. I hope it's successful and the idea spreads. The rates seem reasonable. I'm sure many riders would benefit from it at one point or another.
  16. Agreed, great advice. Bikes sell for a premium in the spring time.
  17. Thanks for sharing your experience. I have heard both good and bad about Iron Pony. Next time I'm in the Columbus area, I will have to stop in. Simple things like treating a customer right and with respect goes a long way. Great customer service is rare these days.
  18. Meguiar's Quik Detailer and a microfiber towel for me. Follow up with spray wax and you're good to go. I have no worries about using a pressure washer on dirt bikes, but something about using one on a street bike doesn't sit well with me.

    Honda grom

For the Grom owners, can anyone share real world fuel mileage? Honda claims 134 MPG for the 2014 model...my round trip to work is under 10 miles. Bicycle or Grom???
  20. Craigslist seems to be the way to go these days in terms of getting a bike for a good deal. Searchtempest is a great tool to use. Various motorycle forums can have good deals too. Good luck with your search!
  21. I might be buying a used bike in the next month. It will need tires for sure before I can ride it the way I want to. The bike is a '09 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic cruiser. This would be my first cruiser and first bike with belt drive. I don't want to mess around with the removal/installation of the wheels and such. I want to ride it to a shop, have them do the work right, and then ride home and have no worries about the quality of work. I'm near Brook Park/Middleburg area. Few shops near by are Cycle Analysis, Iron Horse Cycles, Rick Roush Motorsports, State 8, and then non-Kawasaki dealers like Sill's Honda and Breyley Yamaha. Of course, a few Harley dealerships too (would they touch a metric cruiser?) I know a few members do tire mounting/balancing, but would you guys also disassemble/reassemble what needs to be taken down for the tire removal? I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks!
  22. Yes, the Vulcan comes with a windshield and bags. The V Star is belt drive. The previous owner bought it from a dealer with 500 miles on the clock.
  23. I sold my sport tourer last month and had the idea to take this riding season off. Well, of course I couldn't keep my eyes off of looking at used bikes and found something that caught my eye. I have my eye on two bikes and I would like to get your opinion on which is the better deal given each circumstance. Both bikes fit my riding style. The details of each are listed below: Option 1: 2011 Yamaha V-Star 950 - 1,700 miles - all factory original - tires, brakes, fluids, plugs, etc (owner says everything is perfect condition) - second owner (I would be third) - owner barely put on 1,200 miles in 3 years of ownership - "small" loan still on bike from current owner - does not have windshield or bags (would cost around $500 or so for me to add them on) - price = $4,100...KBB retail price = $5,015 Option 2: 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT - 6,500 miles - all factory original - tires, brakes, fluids, plugs, etc (owner says everything is perfect condition) - maintenance records available - original owner purchased brand new - title free and clear - has windshield and bags - price: $3,800...KBB retail price = $4,295 My main concern with the Yamaha is that with such low miles, it obviously sat around a lot. I was told by other gear heads when vehicles sit around a lot rather than being used, it can cause problems. I'm not sure what to think of this. Is the $300 difference in price point that I'm better off with one or the other? Your input and breakdown would help me out. Thanks!
  24. Great, thanks for the quick replies. Ride safe
