  1. 😂 I took the photo was dad and I were buttoning up the fairings.
  2. Got the bike all back together. It’s always good to go through the bike when you first get it. I found several things not adjusted or torqued properly from the previous owner. I feel a lot more confident in the bike after knowing everything has been done correctly. The bike is ready for a shakedown run and maybe some day rides before my trip.
  3. Two new tires, new upgraded cam chain tensioner, re-torqued steering bearings (after finding out the previous owner already upgraded to tapered roller bearings), new tail light bulbs, dif oil change, removed and plugged the secondary air system, and still gotta put the led headlights in. Dad helped me a bunch and got started on it while I was at work. Almost all back together now. Bar risers on the way too…
  4. Yeah, just gotta apple carplay and make the bike slower 😂
  5. Got my throttle all set up the way I like it. Might throw some heated grips on in the future.
  6. Not much today, but the original key had seen better days, and I wanted a spare key for my Corbin Smuggler so I got some key blanks and headed to the locksmith.
  7. I’m sure the arrogant guy from Traxxion has a solution to everything for the Goldwing 😂
  8. Yeah, he thinks getting comfortable with the bike and more front braking is causing it.
  9. I just talked to my dad and he is experiencing the exact same thing. Usually 2 rears to a front and now he is getting less mileage out of a front than a rear.
  10. Hmm, may have just gotten a bad tire? I’d be curious to see if it happens again.
  11. I’ve seen this before on a bike pulling a trailer. Maybe excess load on the back of the bike?
  12. I’ve used the throttlemesiter throttle lock and really liked them, but they went out of business. I got a Kaoko ordered, good here you liked it.
  13. Installed new foot pegs and made some compression dampening adjustments on the front forks. The bike is really starting to feel like my other FJR.
  14. Installed some very basic accessories. The throttle rocker just helps my wrist so much and makes my throttle smoother. Took it out for a spin and I am starting to get back to the FJR handling characteristics. Still plenty to improve on...
  15. Did some suspension adjustments, gave it a bath and then hit some twisties. The bike feels so much more planted now, still getting used to the bike though. Got a list of parts coming to address some things.
  16. Rode it home. Took off some stickers from the previous owner. Made a list of stuff I need for it and started ordering stuff.
  17. Brought her home today. I’m gonna go through the bike and make sure everything is good to go. The contimotion tires gotta go, they feel horrible.
  18. I haven’t posted in a while, life’s been busy. I sold my 2022 KLR650. Two short hours later I bought another bike. Those who know me, I like my big heavy sport touring bikes. The KLR was enough for me to realize ADV doesn’t scratch that itch for me, so I’m heading back to my old home. I’m going back to the trusty FJR! I got a low mileage 2006 with a nice taste of farkles. I pick it up Friday. Probably hit some twisties on the way home. I can’t wait to get wrenching on this thing and making it my own. Got a gap trip planned in July. I don’t have any photos of my own yet but here’s one from the listing.
  19. Dropped the KLR off at the dealer. Fuel pump recall. I hate other people working on my bike.
  20. Installed my new tank bag Christmas Gift. The KLR sure does have a ton of storage options.
  21. Got a new fork brace on the KLR. Then took it out on 555 and 676. Wow, what a difference.
  22. Got out with my dad and brother for a KLR riding day. Made it over to Moonville tunnel. Had to cut the ride a little short (brother went down and his knee was swelling pretty bad). Overall, great riding though.
  23. Got a tool tube installed on my luggage racks. Bike all prepped for some riding if the weather holds out.
  24. Took my dad and brother to iron pony for some gear shopping. My brother hasn’t ridden in a decade so he did some upgrading on gear. Did a little bit of air filter maintenance.
