  1. I just got the same type deal on a set of Pirelli's. Bought two tires and a couple weeks later I got a $50 gift card.
  2. Its funny you say that, cause he sold his EX500 to get something else. I've made some impractical bikes worthy of long rides and a throttle lock or cruise control is a necessity IMO.
  3. Awesome, I live about 20 minutes from Marietta. Where's your route going Saturday?
  4. That bike is sexy! Too bad I can't afford two bike payments right now. Someday, I will have a garage with more than one bike in it.....
  5. Thanks for all the input guys. We have found two likely candidates. A 99 BMW R1100RT and a 04 Suzuki Vstrom. The Vstrom looks really nice, but has high miles. He is leaning towards the BMW, which has half as many miles and an amazing service record.
  6. Thats what I have been saying. When you get up to around $3000, your options widen a good bit.
  7. Hey guys, I got a buddy looking for either an Adventure or Sport Touring bike. He had a sport bike and is now ready for something comfortable to log some miles. He is on a tight budget ($2000 tops). Any recommendations what to look for? He would like to find a Concours or ST1100, but we have not had any luck in that price range. I was thinking maybe an FZ6, Vstrom, or VFR?
  8. I usually soak the entire bike with a water hose. Lay a soaked absorber chamois over the windshield and nose. Wash the rest of the bike with soap and wash mit. Then come back to the nose and remove the chamois. Bugs wash off with no effort at all. I wax usually every 4-5 washes.
  9. I got a new set of wheels for my truck mounted.
  10. I think Ohio needs a 5th season....Rain Season
  11. This is great, 78 was due for a repave.
  12. Wow that looks almost identical to my old F4i. That's the best paint/graphic scheme IMO. GLWS
  13. Big Guy's MX School at Fly MX Park used to have classes. I don't know if they still do it or not. Their website isn't working, but there is a phone number on their facebook page.
  14. LOL, mine's about the same. (Depending of the twist of the wrist, of course)
  15. When you havent put gas in your car in over a month, you might be riding a good bit.
  16. I shoot mainly trap at local clubs down here in SEO. I just use a 30 inch full choke Remington 870 for trap. O/U or Auto for Sporting Clays. Briar Rabbit is a great place to shoot, just be prepared to walk some hills.
  17. I don't know if you want another YZF600, but there is one here local for cheap. http://parkersburg.craigslist.org/mcy/5078735674.html
  18. Man, the inspection center in Jackson Ohio is way more strict. I totaled my truck 6 weeks after I painted it and had to get a rebuilt inspection. I painted over the vin stickers on the doors and the inspection center was ready to take my doors, since I didn't have a receipt for them (Never damaged in crash). It took a bunch of convincing to talk them out of it.
  19. I have yet to see any local shop offer Held gloves. I shop local for parts, but gear isn't that easy. I got a call from Held/Schuberth today, and the gloves are on back-order and mine were not repairable.. At first, I was bummed, but then they said I could upgrade to a different set of gloves. So I will now be receiving a pair of Held Airstream II's. Overall, I am happy with the outcome. From what I interpreted, they are dealing with a 3rd party repair shop and they are having issues.
  20. I would not without consent of course.
  21. Yeah, I think that would be cool. I know the forum sells shirts on here, so I don't know how well the admins would like someone else using the logo.
  22. I bought them from Revzilla, but I ddidn't think they would handle the warranty claim. The Held guy finally emailed me back. Apparently they are having delay issues with their repair shop and they are sending me new gloves instead.
  23. Exactly, that's why I don't wanna bash the company from one experience. I love their gloves, it's just frustrating not having them.
  24. OK, so I have owned a pair of Held Rodney gloves for a little over a year now. They have been my favorite gloves I've ever owned. One day on my way to work, i felt a breeze in my hand. I looked down and realized the index finger had came unstitched. I called Held/Schuberth warranty, and they said sure, email them with proof of purchase, and they will arrange shipment of the gloves for repair. They had a 2 year warranty on them. I email them with my proof of purchase, I receive my shipping label, and I send the gloves. I was told on the phone total turnaround time would be as little as 7 days. I waited 2 weeks, no response. I emailed the person I contacted the first time, and he said, I'll call the repair shop and send you a status update right away. It has now been over 3 weeks, so I call them. The guy says he has been super busy and was sorry for the delay. He informed we he was going to call the repair shop right then and send me a status email. Guess what, no email. I understand people are busy and things happen, but my patience is running thin. Do you guys think I am out of line? I know Schuberth just starting taking care of Held customers recently, so I am trying to give them benefit of the doubt.
