  4. Copied from my ad on the WERA boards. This bike is amazing I am sad to sell it. I am selling my 2009 Yamaha R6 Race/track bike. This is a turn key ready to race or ride on the track bike in very good condition with a long list of performance parts and spare parts included. The engine is stock and runs very strong as evidenced by a couple of WERA trophies in 2014 including a win at Grattan. Title is salvage as the bike was purchased in 2010 at an auction. When I bought the bike from the previous owner we double signed and generated a bill of sale. I will provide the same for the buyer of this bike. All damage was cosmetic and it has been an extremely good track day and race day bike every since. It has to go as I am heading back to school and won't be using this for a while. It's sad because this bike is amazing. Honestly, the only thing about this bike which isn't top shelf is the hot bodies bodywork, which is perfectly functional. This bike really opened my eyes to how a really well set up bike behaves. My best estimate is that the bike has less than 3000 miles on it. 500 when purchased and 19 events between 2010 and 2015. Bike is set up for a 160 pound rider without gear. Performance Upgrades: -Ohlins 30mm fork kit (four weekends since last rebuild), -Ohlins TTX rear shock (four weekends since last rebuild), -Yamaha Kit ECU (mapped for 93 octane, previous owner had a dyno at work and calibrated engines as his job), stock ECU included as well. Includes cable and software to fiddle with the YEC ECU. -Dynojet Quickshifter, -Hot Bodies Super Sport Bodywork (foam seat), -Akrapovic race exhaust (headers and can, titanium) -Woodcraft rearsets, -Woodcraft clipons, -Woodcraft brake lever protector, -Woodcraft case covers (left and right), with some scuffs -Stomp tank grip, -Hotbodies windshield, Puig windshield, maybe a spare... -520 EK ZZZ chain, -Vortex 520 sprockets, -Vesrah RJL brake pads (3 weekends on them), -Stainless Steel brake lines, -Fully safety wired (passed WERA inspection every time), -Michelin Pilot Race tires (3-4 weekends lots of life left). -New EBC race clutch last 2014, -Driven secondary air (smog) blocking plates, -BMC racing air filter, -Vortex spin on gas cap, -Ohlins steering damper, -Exup eliminated, but the CEL is on with the YEC ECU in there because there is no exup elminator device. full disclosure: I do not know how to disable the rev limiter in second gear at 7k, I think it's the pit lane speed limiter. I just short shift. It's somewhere in the documentation that will come with the bike, I didn't want to play with it. Spare parts included: -Two additional sets of wheels, One with older rain tires, one either bare or with new pilot super sports (not the DOT race tires, i would prefer to keep this set of tires, but its negotiable.) Both front wheels include rotors. -front rotor -Many, many sprockets front and rear, -Two extra Sprocket hubs, -axles front and rear -Spare levers, -Spare bars, -Spare used brake pads with life left, -Spare windscreens, -Spark plugs -rear sets -case slider pucks and gaskets -extra chain -more miscellaneous items shown in the pictures Negotiable extras not included in price: -3 temp selectable dunlop branded chicken hawk Tire warmers -Honda Generator -GPX lap timer -AMB hard wired transponder -Go-pro (I think it's the white? it does 1080p 60fps which is better than I need) -battery tender Delivery available within a few hours drive of Cleveland OH, negotiable. $7,000
  5. So I've got an idea... What if we left Nelsons in rough shape and marketed it as the ultimate test of adventure style bikes? We could have 'Beak Week'. Everyone on a v-strom could come and splash through potholes, camp among mosquitos, and tell everyone how badass it was? We can sell "I survived an EPA disaster zone" t-shirts to raise money for anti-guard rail campaigns. Isn't Ohio already some kind of haunted house capital of the midwest? we could have a sort of haunted run down race track to accompany it... Seriously though, still happy that someone is taking steps to move the place along, small things add up...
  6. I heard a rumor Nelson Ledges was being rebuilt to host MotoGP in 2017, is that true? What is their policy on steel rails? I thought they used transparent aluminum?
  7. This is a bit of a buzzkill, but I'm hearing good things about the long term plans for the track. I hope this gets some attention and helps draw people in, even if we have to be patient for a bit. I'm going to hold off on the 250 for now I guess.
  8. Luckily we have all the stuff at Grattan in the meantime. Hope they are able to work through this on a good schedule.
  9. I'm picking up my prepped 250 on Saturday morning. The guy I'm buying it from knows of several others, some which may potentially be for sale. Anyone interested in details let me know.
  10. Just to be clear... This may or may not be beer I brew in my bathtub or find on the curb or something. But free is free right? I'll promise at least coors light if we get to 12 entries.
  11. Probably pulling the trigger on a prepped 250 this weekend. Who else is thinking about it? I'm working on race strategy now... You guys in my class can count on me for all the free beer you can drink the night before!
  12. http://sandusky.craigslist.org/mcd/5442498890.html From previous experience I'm more interested in the racing than the absolute speed, up to a point. A big class of people that can get out regularly would be great. Looking at last years results it looks like there's almost 10 people that show up on any given day. Maybe we can bump that up little by little.
  13. I hope this works out for the best. The track is a half hour from my house. I want to buy a 250 specifically to race there with motoseries because it seems like a good group.
  14. Can I get bumped back to novice so I look like a hero? I'm not going for big fish in a small pond, I'm going for whale in a bathtub here! Looking forward to this year. Sounds like the group running the show is putting in a lot of effort.
