  1. I'm going on vacation 5/11-5/18; VEGAS! But i was going to do it whenever i got around to it. It would be great to get together and do it though. During the week might be close on time but i'm free 5/25 and 5/27 all day. I was going to make my own compressor using a car jack and the garage wall studs.
  2. I plan on taking them all the way apart to get everything out. No idea what the previous owner did so the fork oil could be 6 years old. Want to get it all out.
  3. I'm going to be changing my fork oil soon. I have pretty much any common tool there is, but fork tools aren't so common. Just wondering if anyone in the North Olmsted/Cleveland area has these tools i can borrow instead of buying. Fork Compressor (I can make something pretty easily) Cartridge Holder Tool Damper Rod Holder 41mm Fork Seal Driver
  4. Ahhh......my golf league is on Wednesdays. Looks like i'm missing all the bike nights this summer.
  5. Is this to me? I love my Daytona. I just don't want to drive my street bike at the track for when the inevitable happens. I want to get another 675 and make it a dedicated track bike.
  6. I can't wait till next track day! Sucks i have to miss the June 1st one. Maybe i can play hooky from work and make the Monday one a few weeks later. Pretty sure i'm going to start looking for a track bike come this fall.
  7. I had a great time today. Turn 4 is a bitch though. I can't figure that damn thing out. Came in too hot several times.
  8. Off topic. I'll be arriving tomorrow around 7ish. 3 guys from work are coming too. They have been doing motoseries/trackdays for awhile now. I'm the only newb. I'll be parking with them but i welcome all advice and HJ's. I wouldn't mind someone looking at my suspension set-up though. I set it to the soft settings per the manual. I also tried to get the sag around 1-1.5. But doing so pretty much backed the spring all the way off. Only couple threads showing. I need to get a new spring for my weight; 137 without gear.
  9. Normal parking situation at work. I have the 2007 Daytone 675 in front. Co-workers 2007 ZX6R and my boss's 2001 Ducati. We are all planning on coming to trackday this weekend.
  10. There isn't much of a selection in NE Ohio. Best bet is to either go to Iron Pony by Columbus or figure out your size and order stuff from Riders Discount through TJ. I got all my track gear through him, great prices.
  11. Going to be prepping the bike and changing over to water wetter tonight. How many flushes do i need to make sure all the anti-freeze is out? I was thinking two flushes and then the WW/H20.
  12. Last day for sign-up discount. Has everyone signed up or do you wait till day of to see what the weather will be? Also, is there a chance the novice group would fill up and wouldn't be able to get in just showing up saturday? I don't want to miss out because it's full but at the same time lose out $165 because of rain. I'm not riding in rain so don't bother trying to convince me otherwise. Just don't like it, wouldn't have fun.
  13. I rode dirt bikes growing up so i understood riding but my wife wanted to learn to ride too. So i scheduled both of us to take the course. It was a good refresher for me. She never drove a bike let alone sit on one before the MSF. She could drive stick so i'm sure that helped some. But she was able to learn it all and pass the course by the end. That was also the last time she rode a bike too. She doesn't feel comfortable enough or confident enough to ride on the street. I've tried to get her to ride again but she doesn't want too. O-well, less worrying i have to do.
  14. Damn.....you pretty far away from me. I would have liked to ride with you guys.
  15. Welcome! I'm new to the group too and from North Olmsted if you want to ride sometime. My wife has chopped off my balls already so you don't have to worry about any leg humping.
  16. Went for a quick 40 mile ride last weekend and rode it to work today. It rides really nice, so much more power than the 250. I'm still getting use to the pazzo shorty shifters. I'm not sure if i'm going to keep them or trade them for some long handle ones.
  17. Meh......i'm just going to superglue my butt closed the first track day.
  18. It pulled better than i thought it was going to. Could barely tell i was pulling a trailer. I ordered all my track gear last week. Hoping it'll arrive sometime this week.
  19. Thanks. I need to get some new turn signals for the front. The rears are the new style but the fronts are the old stock round ones.
  20. Finally got my 675 home from the dealer. The harbor freight trailer worked like a champ. I pulled over to check the hubs at the first turnpike rest stop and they were barely warm. The trailer handled so much better though with the weight of the bike. It was a lot noisier and bouncy without a load. Hopefully going for a long ride tomorrow if the weather cooperates.
  21. I'm hoping to be there Saturday for trackday. Just have a lot to do between now and then. It'll be my first time on a track so everyone can point and laugh at my slow ass. I will expect tips though from those laughing. Is the school a race school or a track school for newbs?
  22. Update: I finished building the trailer Saturday. Pic below of mostly together, just missing the lights and ball mount. Today I installed the hitch on the xB and the hitch wiring. I also got half the trailer wired up. Hoping to finish it on Tuesday and make it to Home Depot Wed to get the decking and make some ramps.
  23. HAHA!!!!!!! But sure, anyone can stop over for sexy fun time if they fill like it. Send me a PM and i can give you my number.
