  1. I'll make sure to tuck my feet in around turn 13 this time. HAHA
  2. I used to have green turn signals in my ranger about 10 years ago. The only person that had an issue was an overweight University of Toledo cop. He pulled me over twice. First time was verbal warning, i ignored it. About a month later he pulled me over again and added that i was driving recklessly; this was after he pulled a u-turn in the middle of the busy 4 lane road right by the university. Written warning this time and said if saw me again, he would impound it. I doubted him but didn't want to deal with his superiority complex. Both times i was driving straight, not turning so they were not blinking.
  3. Since this past weekend got rained out, I'm hoping to make it Monday. It'll work out good for me, less people in intermediate since it'll be my first time out of novice.
  4. I looked at radar this morning, it was a sad sight to see. I'm hoping the next Monday has some good weather. I need my fix.
  5. Finally got around to putting the camera on the bike. Main use will be track days but may run it whenever i ride as a safety measure. In case anything happens, it'll be recorded.
  6. I guess i'll sign up for intermediate then!!! Hopefully it won't be too crowded that day.
  7. I'll be there Saturday for track day (dependent on weather). Debating between novice and intermediate. This will be my third track day. The instructors said i was running 1:26/27 times and that i would be alright if i wanted to move up. Not sure if i'd be comfortable enough for that though. I don't want to be 'that guy' that gets in the way. A guy i work with that's in intermediate says just stay predictable and don't worry, but that's easier said than done. At the same time, it feels like it creates a hassle for the people teaching novice to have such large speed gaps between people in novice. It also frustrates me getting stuck behind them around the entire track. I need a inter-intermediate group. Another thing that might determine my group, do you need safety wired for intermediate? I already run water wetter and everything else listed. The site says its only required for advance, but i thought i heard someone say its required for intermediate also. I plan on getting a track bike for next year so i don't really want to start drilling on this bike.
  8. My dad and I restored a 67' Camaro SS. We did a frame off (unibody) restoration and turned it into a show car. It was fun for the first few years taking it to shows. We won the Camaro class at all the local shows and a the All Camaro show at Summit Racing (our class was 67-69 at that show). Now it sits in my dad's garage. We got bored of the car shows and it's too nice to just drive around town. I live an hour away now so i only see it a few times a year. Wish i had another garage to store it in. If i could do it over, i would have put more money in the go than show and make it a daily driver. I plan on doing a 52-56 F100 in the future. I want to put some big block in it, chop it and maybe tub it. It will be a daily driver and i'll burn gas like a mofo.
  9. This might be a stupid question. Is this what they use at Nelsons?
  10. Free track day = new drift innovations camera.
  11. Sadly i think i'll have to miss out on the next two track days. Stupid family crap i can't get out of. I was really hoping to make it to the next monday, was really nice having an open track.
  12. Had a great day today! Felt so much more comfortable that last track day. Also got some new rubber. Big thanks to Todd. And a big thanks to Marty for zooming in on my feet on 13 showing how bad my foot positioning was (and showing everyone else).
  13. I almost left the key in the ignition. Noticed it while bringing in groceries. I have a spare key in the car for that reason.
  14. Bikes loaded and car packed. Feel like i'm forgetting something though. Hope it's not too important.
  15. How are the prices for tires at the track? Pretty close to elsewhere or is there a premium for the location factor.
  16. Question from a novice Good or bad idea to get new tires the morning of a trackday. I don't want to lowside my bike going into turn 1. Will following the leaders the first session be a good enough scrub session? That speed should be fine on new tires i would imagine without worrying about going down.
  17. I'm hoping to make it to this trackday. I should have no problem getting off work. I'm ready for a not to full novice group.
  18. Welcome mate. Let's go ride!!
  19. Sadly i will not be making this track day. Already have plans that i can not cancel. Hoping to get June 17th off work and make it to that day.

    Close call

Wow, glad you saw that and was able to stop in time. Don't even want to think about what could have happened.
  21. A guy on my bowling league drives a orange Chevy HHR with the plate 'MFFN MAN'. He's overweight, not sure if that's why but it's pretty stupid. I had 'Luna7ic' on my ranger for about 8 years. Currently have 'XCUBD' on Eagle Scout plates on the xB. It goes with me driving a box/cube and being an engineer, x^3 is the volume of a box.
