  1. I just picked up a tour pack and lowers for my Road King, as well as a trailer. Only thing missing is a bat wing and it would be a whole new bike. It already has speakers on the bars. I was planning on a Street Glide in about another 2-3 years (once child support is done), but I may just go with an Ultra and replace with detachable parts to remove what I don't want, instead of buying everything I want to add.
  2. Yup! I bought both trailers, but will be selling the treadplate one from the other forum. The Bushtec simply has too many great features not to keep.
  3. I picked up two trailers over the past week. Decided on which one I'm keeping, and I'm selling the other one. I have someone coming out to look at it tomorrow evening, but if they don't take it, I'm putting it on Craigs List for $1,150. If anyone on here ends up taking it instead, I'll sell it for $1000, which is what I have in it. Thanks!
  4. Anytime I have wrecked has been on a sport bike...lol. *knock on wood* I wrecked all three I owned. The first I wrecked trying to ride wheelies. The second was wrecked running from the cops (good thing I already outran him). The third was wrecked when someone pulled out in front of me and I locked it up. I bought the last one back from the Insurance company and fixed it back up though. None of them caused any permanent damage, but the worst was the slowest one. Wrecked going about 10 mph on a curve. Hit a reflector in the road. The fastest (slowed to about 90mph when I slid off the road) had the least damage. Grass stains on my favorite pants and shirt. Glad I've learned a lot and mellowed out a lot since those days. Ignorance on a bike doesn't mix.
  5. No need. I just paid the $10 and became a contributing member. I guess trolls are okay as long as you pay to be one.
  6. lol.. for some reason I can only send one PM every 2 hours, so I can't respond to you.
  7. Yeah, I have one I am looking at right now as well. Should know by late tomorrow (likely into Friday) which direction I'm going. I already PM'd him on the other forum.
  8. Looks like a lot of good reasons to have one, not too many bad. $1700 for a new one is a tad out of my price range though. Close, but not quite in it. If she is selling it for $800, I would likely buy it. Probably going to make a decision in the next day or two.
  9. This actually has a lot of the models I've been looking at for the past couple of weeks. Federal tax refund is pending in my account right now, so I know the funds are there. I like the single wheel concept, slightly more than I wanted to spend. Any idea on how single wheel compares to a solid axle on the bumps? It's in my price range. I just registered over there. For some reason, the posts were all out of order for me. Looks like I saw he said somewhere between $800-$1,150 (Depending on if he likes you...lol). I'll hit him up for more pics.
  10. Anyone use a pull behind trailer with their bike? I've been looking at getting one, but am having difficulty deciding on what I should and shouldn't get. Also not sure how big is too big. I found a '32 Ford rear end trailer that doesn't look any bigger than some that are marketed for bikes, but a 52"-58" width sounds a bit wide to me. Of course the guy selling it thinks it should be fine....
  11. It's not the speed that gets ya, it's the bumps. The wobble is horrible when you hit. Speed seems to be okay. I regularly ride the highway around 80... might be 70 if my speedo still lies....
  12. Well, now I ride a Harley and don't have to worry about speed.
  13. My speedo was able to go up to 195 if I remember right. It never would have done that either. Never took the time to ask the cop how fast I was going.
