  1. One owner, clean title in hand. Track only. Stock motor. 20,990 miles.The time has come for me to face the reality that getting back on the track isn't in the cards. So I'm selling my baby, a 2004 R6 that I bought brand new in September of 04 and have ridden every mile since.It hasn't been babied by any stretch of the imagination, but it has been obsessively maintained. Runs like the day it was new, only stronger. Routinely dyno'd at over 100hp at the wheel. From commutes, to exploring the twisties in Kentucky, to drag races and track days, this bike has always taken everything I threw at her and come back asking for more. Zero mechanical malfunctions in all the time I've owned her.Always used Motul 300V oil and RBF600 brake fluid, changed more often than my socks. Only the finest of distilled waters in the cooling system. Suspension only has two days on the track since it was last serviced. The paint is pockmarked from going fast, and there's a little rash on the right lower from a teensy low-side at Grattan a bunch of years ago. Otherwise, the bike has always been rubber-side up.Would make an excellent first track day bike, or novice racer, or endurance race machine. Fully safety-wired, never leaked a drop of anything, and always passed tech with flying colors. Comes with an absurd number of spares, Pit Bull front and rear stands, aluminum loading ramps, a rain suit, and even a service manual.     It's fine with me too, actually. I haven't had cable for many years, and find that streaming commercial-free HD race coverage to my huge TV is way better than paying to watch annoying ads. That said, you and I are not yet the mainstream, and for sponsors to re-enter the paddock, some more mainstream coverage will be necessary.

    Maybe, but I sorta doubt it. The production and broadcast costs to get it on a mainstream TV network are astronomically high, and I doubt even the new organizers have that kind of coin, Dorna or no Dorna. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but we may have to settle for webcasting, at least in the short term. On the bright side, that cuts out the annoyance of poorly timed commercial breaks...

  12. Pads are cheap. I'd just replace them. I never thought I'd dig 29ers either, until I rode them. The difference is substantial. I love my full squish 26er to death, but with how well sorted the 29er geometry is now, I can't see buying another one. I think the plethora of wheel sizes is a good thing. It helps develop frame and suspension concepts, and offers something for everybody. A friend of mine just got a Scott 27.5" hardtail and is absolutely in love with the thing. Far more than his 29ers.
  13. Raced the Alum Creek CX race this morning, then switched bikes and headed over to P1 for a couple laps. Pretty sweet trail! Very old school, and I liked it. Sort of a nice change from the super-buff, IMBA-approved trail we have around here.

  19. Work your core and posterior chain. If your wrists are hurting on the bike, it's because you're putting too much weight on them.
