  1. I wish we stocked more street stuff too, but I'm not far enough up the totum pole to make that decsion. The MX stuff just flat out sells plus we're to the point that that's what we're known for. Thank you for the props though. I hear that. Those are some really awesome points to keep buying from those guys. Customers like you make it fun to work at the dealer and definitley make it a lot easier.
  2. I've been at Honda East for almost 6 years...not here, you read that wrong. Just because I don't post on here doesn't mean I don't check in and read through the forums a few times a week. Call it what you want, but I'm far from your typical "Salesman". I do most of my busniess through big forums and have a pretty good sense of how things work. Google "Honda East Justin" if you'd like to check up on it If you think I'm getting "butt hurt", you are sorely mistaken. I've been doing this long enough to go back in forth with you if you'd really like to, but I'm not really here for that. I, unlike a lot of dealership employees, actually enjoy this sport very much and really do like to see what other shops are doing right and also lending a helping hand to others when I can. As far as Major Units go and the mark up... I have no idea. I have nothing to do with unit sales and never will. I've done parts sales here the entire time. I can tell you that if you were to walk in here and buy a bike, I would point you to my preferred Salesman and you would pay the same price I would on a unit. My mindset when it comes to parts is to help out on price the best I can because I know I would want the same if I were on the other side of the counter(or internet) and it's worked out pretty well for me so far.
  3. Honda East isn't asking anything. This is my personal account and I removed the sig picture after I was asked to. I didn't put much thought into it because I use the same one on multiple forums. I was more or less just curious to see where members here are spending their money.... I know pretty shady right? Heaven forbid, I was also looking to being a site sponsor too I've been here almost 6 years and I find it hard to believe the doors were locked 10 minutes before. There's been more times than I can count that I've been here a 30-45 minutes after closing helping people with gear and parts. Acutally, Saturday I was here 25 minutes after helping a guy. I do agree that our stock on street gear isn't what it use to be but that's based on business and what's selling. I'm not a moto-x guy but a lot of our inventory has moved toward that.
  4. Posted an intro on here a while back but just kinda cruise the forum here and there, looking for some decent reads. I was just scanning the "Shop Reviews" section and made me curious on a few things after seeing a handful of shop names that I recognize: Where are members buying their parts from? Would you rather buy local or don't care? How's the customer service from said place?
  5. I'm always down for a track rental. I hosted one at Milan last year and tried to set-up another but couldn't seem to get anyone interested enough to pay up. Milan only does 3 hours but the amount of passes you can get in is unreal
  6. Yes, I have the 2 piece slipper welded and I'm also running 3 stiff springs. Decided against the Brock's kit after looking at the price
  7. I know I don't post here much, just cruise the forum but just a little update on my bike. I ended up getting a Mcintosh swing arm on it and the bike sits at a 68in wheel base. Went to the track on Wednesday....
  8. Haha yeah there isn't much around here for twisty roads. If you venture a little further into the outskirts of Toledo then there's a few
  9. Yes we are sponsor for Eddie. I'm not quite sure I understand why you laugh...
  10. I don't have BST money, but I've looked in getting a drag shock. I've been wanting to make the move to a 07-up GSXR-1000 just because I have a hard time wanting to "ruin" my street bike by making it the way I want. Gear is -1 front +3 rear..... so 17/46 at 4.5in over SWB. I'm leaving at 5k RPM
  11. Thanks for all the welcomes! Yeah, apparently I'm stuck at the mid 9 mark. I made 6 passes at Milan 2 weeks ago and every pass but one was a 9.6x. I think I need to look into my suspension a little more, not to mention that I changed my gearing and I wasn't quite use to it yet. I know the bike has a lot more in it
  12. Best it ever ran was 11.51 @ 122mph. It blew up before I could make a clean pass on the bigger nitrous pills. We tried to set-up the car on "kill mode" with coil-overs and gutted interior, but it let go 2 days before the track. Realistically, it probably would have ran a low 11.4x or high 11.3x
  13. What's going on? My name is Justin and I reside in the "lovely" city of Toledo, OH. I was doing some googling and came across the forum. A little about me... I work in Parts Sales at Honda East Toledo and I've been here for just over 4 years. I use to be big into sport compact cars, but after blowing up a few transmissions and a long block, I decided that bikes would be a cheaper investment. Previous car - 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 Current DD - 2008 Dodge Ram Quad cab Current Bike - 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa And some pics...
