Yesterday around 5pm I was taking a ride on a borrowed bike. I was cruising down a backroad when out of the corner of my eye I see a white and black blur. Given the speed I was traveling and the direction of the bird a collision was imminent. As soon as my brain said "Oh shit what is that!" the bird had plowed into my helmet right in front of my right eye. Had the shield been up or I had not been wearing a helmet I think I could have had a big problem. The woodpecker lay dead in the road and I escaped unscathed. Thank God for helmets! Anybody else hit a bird?

I was looking into a Desantis Sof-tuck for my Kahr CM9. I think they are simple and reasonably priced. I have a beefy Kydex holster for my Glock 23. It is a bit to bulky for concealed carry.

We had to explain to them what we were doing with alot of detail. I don't think they were totally convinced. My experience wasn't as exciting as finding a gun lol. Either way I will probably just stick to my usual hobbies.

Anybody try this? I went for the first time the other day with my brother. Our 3rd stop we were questioned by curious police officers.They thought we were tresspassing or doing illegal things. They ran our licenses and found we had no records or warrants and let us alone. It was quite humerous.

Gas saving is quite a good excuse for me to get a bike . I do drive about 30-50 miles a day tho.
