  1. Hey guys, just passing this along in case anyone is interested in making the hike out for the last rookie track day at NYST this year. Rookie weekend is a great time no matter the skill level. There will be 4 riding groups rookie for first time track riders and the usual novice, intermediate and advance . The cost is $125 a day instead of the usual $180 for anyones first time out to NYST and for someone that has been before but brings someone new to the track! I will be camping which is an additional $20 and you do not need a membership for this weekend which saves at least $50. The down low: New York Safety Track Harpersfeild, New York September 5 & 6th Tech opens at 7am Riders meeting 8am 15 min sessions (1 per group per hour) from 9am-5pm Lunch from noon - one (you can lap 1 up and little ones can take a lap on a pit bike or dirt bike controlled speed ~30mph) Camping in a friendly family environment with fireworks and bonfires and the typical fun activities if you choose. Facilities: 2.1 mile track 18 turns 450 feet of elevation change over 7 hills and drops Food prepared on site ~ $5-10 for a nice lunch Full gear rental minus helmet $80/day $150/weekend Track bike rental $300/day $500/weekend Mechanic shop with tire machine Suspension specialist on site Tech: Remove or tape off mirrors Remove OR tape OR disconnect (pull fuse) for headlights and taillights Min 50% tire life Min 50% brake life Rookie/novice/intermediate coolant is acceptable Advance needs a coolant replacement Gear: Dot helmet 1 or 2 piece leathers Gauntlet gloves Over ankle boots Just made it out there for the first time this year and it was a blast, track is flawless staff is super helpful and enthused and was a great community / family friendly environment. If anyone on here wants to meet on their way out or out at the track post up or PM me!
  2. I'm not sure how many people you want around, I joined this forum when I lived in Cleveland a few years ago and at the end of '14 I ended up moving back to Buffalo, NY. I have really enjoyed my time on OR and as long as long as your willing to have an extra body and the weather will support a ~4 hr ride each way I'd enjoy swinging down and meeting the majority of you guys for the first/second time!
  3. SOLD! This thing can get locked up, Thanks guys!
  4. Hahahahaha, you're the man. I'd consider gun trades. Pm me if you're serious, I already have my heart set on another bike but maybe we could work something out!
  5. If I was anywhere near the Columbus area I'd load up the trailer and let you pick
  6. Thanks guys! Lets get this thing sold, Ive got my eye on another bike!
  7. I am in Buffalo now, my ex lives in Cleveland still so I could arrange to bring it there for the sale!
  8. Final price drop $2800 and it will be up for sale until Friday the 13th or it is getting shipped!
  9. I do have the factory tail with tail light. I might have the stock headlight as well, I can try to find it. I don't have the blinkers as they were long gone when I bought it.
  10. Bump! Moving out west, for the next week this will be offered up for sale for the amount of $3000 USD which is my current asking price minus the rough estimate of shipping it to its new home. If it doesn't sell I will gladly arrange for this to meet me out there! Thanks for all the kind words!
  11. Thanks! Appreciate the kind words, its as fun to ride as it looks.
  12. Wrong time of year to toss this up I'm sure. Up for sale is my 2005 SM450R supermoto. This is not a converted dirt bike, it came from the factory built for supermoto and as a result Husqvarna makes some of the best handling bikes for this sport. It's the PERFECT beginning racer supermoto! It's set up to race right now. It needs nothing done. Just put your race numbers on and go. All of these parts I put on in the last year. So they're fresh. The bike has some minor wear from the previous owner racing this last season (tire rub on the exhaust and a few scratches). The plastics are brand new. The bike has about 40 hours on the motor and is running perfectly. I have the valves checked every ten hours (they only need minor adjustments at that time). I change the oil every 4 hours. Race Tech rear shock valved for ~160 lb. rider (rebuilt last summer) Factory front shocks also rebuilt last year Bridgestone Battlax super moto tires with good life left The upgrades: K&N intake cone Pro taper evo cr high bars Magura radial front brake ($1000) and a 15 RCS brembo master cylinder ($400). 5" rear excel rim with heavy duty spokes ($500, makes the bike handle and grip way better than the stock 4.25" rim) . Custom high flowing exhaust from Uptite Husqvarna ($400). This bike has spent its entire life in southern California and was not brought up north until this past summer. Can be registered as a motorcycle to ride on the road, I did this past summer. I only have the factory tail light though, in order to legally ride this on the road you will need signals and a headlight. I'm sure I am forgetting a lot so if you have questions shoot me a pm or a text I have a clean and clear NYS title and I am looking for 3800 USD and am pretty firm on this price. I will also be entertaining trades with cash on either end for: Brand name tools Nissan 240sx E30 3 series E36 3 series Mk I or Mk II VW GTI VW Caddy pickup truck If you have anything else interesting to trade let me know. Bike is currently located at my shop in Buffalo, NY. I do have a location I could show it in Lakewood, OH for anyone interested. If interested contact John (me) by pm or shoot me a call / text @ 716-5four5-0631
  13. Thinking about scooping up a used Aprilia sxv 550 or Husqvarna sm450r right now. I'll be looking at 1199 or s1000rr when the snow melts.
  14. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/3826142207.html 1998 Honda Civic 4 door 1.6l sohc motor Automatic transmission 159,xxx miles Manual locks, windows, mirrors Power moon roof CD player Power steering Has a/c but needs recharge 17" Falken wheels 30mpg city/highway mix The bad: -Car was backed into by an SUV in a parking lot making a huge dent in the hood and braking a headlight housing. No damage to the front end frame so bolted new hood and light up just havnt got around to painting it yet. -Starting to develop the usual Honda rust around rear wheel wells, it has been under coated every winter we have owned it so it is not as bad as it could be. -Dash is painted black with paint. The previous owner had painted a mural across the whole dash and that's how they decided to fix it before they sold it. -Driver side front top hat must be worn out because its squeaky. This is my sisters old car, its not clean (wheels, hood, rust) but for the most part mechanically sound. Passes NYS inspection so it will pass e-check no problem. Good for anyone that wants a cheap beater, good gas milage. Asking $1,400 I want this gone today! Any other questions text or call John at 716-five45-zero63one.
