  1. I'm a smoker, never have I ever done it while riding. Pull over, take a break from riding, enjoy the smoke and go along your way. My buddy bought one of those HJC (I think) helments where the front face flips up, so he can smoke while riding. With these new fire safe cigarettes, they go out just sitting there, let alone going 70mph hour down the highway.

    Ride 8-25 or 26

I'm probably going down to Wooser to meet up with Dave (El Kabong) to ride this Saturday if anyone is down?
  3. You'll be best off talking to Dave, he knows what were doing, I'm just following for the route. lol, he'll chime in I'm sure
  4. Sounds good, that is about exactly an hour from my house, and 44 miles. I'll plan to be there around 8:30-8:45. I'll be on the bike in my sig and I will have a black leather jacket and black and silver helmet. How many miles are you planning on doing? It doesn't matter to me, the most I've ridden in 1 day is about 150 miles but willing to do more if thats what you have planned. I can run about 130-140 miles per tank too fyi, there will be gas stops along the way if need be? I have access to 2 GoPro's, you think I should bring them?
  5. El Kabong, I would definitely be interested in a ride this weekend. Sorry the only access to a computer I have is at work, during slow times I can roam the forums. I just checked the weather, looks like it will be beautiful on Saturday, and I'd be down to check out some riding with you! I appreciate it. Anyone is welcome to join, doesn't bother me. Do you have an address as to where we would meet up so I can google map/map quest it?
  6. I am within a couple minutes of 77, I'd be down to ride sometime to see some new area's! This past Thursday I was off work and jumped on the bike, turned on my 'Map My Ride' app on my phone (AWESOME app, it uses the GPS on the phone and follows every where I go and tracks it on a map. I started out at a friends house and went by myself on a ride. Took 82 to the Metroparks in Brecksville, then from there road the Metro Parks all the way to Rocky River/Lakewood where it seemed to end up by the Bars in Lakewood (by like Harry Buffalo and so on) and then jumped on 90 took that into down town, road around the Flats a little bit, up to Edgewater, then jumped back on I-77 and took that up to Rockside, then headed down to Canal and took that back to the Metroparks area, and hit Helltown out to Old State 8 then 303 down to Hinkley area and around there then back home. 122.5 miles and about 4.25 hours. This app is so accurate that it even has me walking from the parking lot to the water fall and back step for step at Bonnie Park if you could see the zoomed in portion of it on my phone.
  7. Thanks again Jeff! Appreciate it!
  8. Yeah I hear what you are saying. Alot of my riding comes from the East of Brecksville road area. I will have to look into those routes as well, thankyou!
  9. Sounds good, will do man! Thanks again! I am going to try and figure out how to get those routes programmed into my phone or gps and then go from there to mount it to my bike maybe just by like velcro or a GoPro mount and try to hit them sometime. Maybe if our schedules work sooner or later we'll hit the routes sometime.
  10. yeah I am quite familiar with the Marietta area because I used to hunt down in those areas a few years back, but if I remember correctly thats about a 2-2.5 hour haul from me
  11. I do the canal rd route all the time, I work right off of Pleasant Valley and 21 so really familiar with this area. I usually take Canal to Brecksville reservation side road (when you come off 82, make a right at the first street when you go into the park) and take that out to 21 then down to CVNP and through "Hell Town" or Bostom Mills Rd and out to 303 and turn around and do it backwards. The other 3 routes you posted look actually pretty damn good I'd say. I will have to check that out, I appreciate you taking the time to map them out like that! I am aware of the police and rangers you talking about, I usually ride within 10mph of the speed limit give or take when I am just out crusing enjoying the ride. I try to do that once in a while too when I know I got a while to ride. I started out in west Strongsville one time and 2 hours later and a 100 miles ended up in southern Richfield. That was a good time, but lot's of straights not many twisty roads at all. Or took 82 all the way out west and ended up in Elyria and took some road that led along the lake back to Cleveland and jumped on 2 (I think) over by Avon Lake which was a nice ride minus some little highschool kids throwing a cup of pop out of their window at my buddy and I
  12. I was kind of figuring that. Where are some of these nicest roads Ohio has? Road name? City? by chance. Just going out for a cruise type, maybe more of a quicker paced ride. What roads are you talking about? Your city is literally starts halfway through my yard.
  13. I have been checking Nelson's out, I was just there at the lake swimming last week and doing the cliff jump. I've been on the motoseries.com site checking it out and learning more on Nelson's track to go sometime hopefully in August. Great idea, I will check that out. I will have to keep my eye out for those rides and come on this forum more often.
