  1. Never asked for advice you twit. You offered unsolicited advice then got all butthurt when I rejected it. Grow the fuck up.
  2. Wow. 62 hp is great for 250cc, even if its 6 cyls at 18k rpm. Amazing how far engine design has come since then.
  3. Tonic is fluidly of zero minds but fuck if he dont have access to the best damn homemade whiskey. These two facts may be connected.
  4. That thing is fucking serious. Pistons must be the size of C batteries. Probably has a 16k redline. Sounds like a flock of pissed off demon hornets.
  5. Replacement value is also a huge factor. $12k brand new bike vs $6k 8 yr old bike. Hows your driving record and the theft rate in your area? I live near Canton where shit goes missing on the regular.
  6. Yeah, water cooled and fuel injected in later years. The motors were under square, which kept them fairly narrow for a 6 but they didnt rev like the Honda. 120 hp at the crank, not too shabby for the vintage but.....heavy and complicated. Still ran production for a decade.
  7. Brand new bank-owned liter sport bike and I still got 1 ticket on my license. Also, I dont live in the fucking hills. Zip code affects premium. Figure it out.
  8. Weren't we talking about old motorcycles?
  9. Mine had a hysterectomy 6 months ago for medical reasons. I can leave it in as much as I want. No oven, no bun.
  10. If we had met 10 years earlier maybe we would have bred a few crotch goblins but we were 30 when we met. By then we were both like 'fuck that noise'.
  11. I didnt make it a throw-down. Never wanted one. I disagreed with someone who likely used an inappropriate product or didnt read the usage instructions and applied his mistake to every similar product who then pitched a hissy fit while at the same time accused me of being butthurt. IdgaFUUUUUUUUUCK. My bike is so clean and shiny you can see my bald fucking head shining in my reflection.
  12. I just turned 40. Embarked on a career in manufacturing while still in high school and spent my teens and early 20's basically delivering whatever fun drugs into my brain I could find. Kinda set me back but I've got a good thing going now, married, no kids (we didnt want em) and about to sell our current home and buy something better. I still look back on my younger days as my best tho, I had a lot of fun and got away with a lot of illegal shit and banged some hot chicks.
  13. The times of our youth always seem simpler because nostalgia. We are always nostalgic for the good things we remember. Nobody is romanticizing having to adjust the valves or clean and sync the shitty aluminum piston CV, accelerator pump kehien carbs that the CBX came with. Nobody.
  14. Washed my bike this morning. Used my new foam sprayer. It sprays foam. Also applied Maguire's quick detail spray liberally all over the plastic, headlights and windscreen and I'll be damned, no fucking damage! Dat shine doe....
  15. Yeah, I've seen a few in the wild. Cool bikes but well, it does with 6 cyls and 1100cc what you can do with 4 cyl and 600cc today at about 200 lbs less. Still that sound tho....
  16. Finally got my leg over my bike after suffering all week with a lower lumbar strain with sciatica and on top of that a fucking hamstring pull in the other leg. Turned 40 Sunday and shit just went downhill from there... thinking the warranty expired..... anyway after wasting several days of PTO and missing out on hundreds of dollars of overtime I finally put in a day of work and wasn't in too much pain so took the squid missile for a scream after work. Killed a lot of bugs, bike will need a wash (there's a thread for that now). Highlight of the ride was being stuck behind a wagon train of 40 mph SUV's coming back up out of amish country and having an opportunity to pass them all when I crested a very tall, long hill. At the bottom was a young amish man driving a buggy. So I flick left of center, grab a gear and screw it on, barreling down the hill aimed squarely at this amish bachelor (no beard) and switch back right of center in plenty of time for the safety of all livestock and people involved and I look over and he's throwing me the thumbs up and smiling as I pass him at triple digits. Hope he makes the right decision come rumspringa, gets a job at autozone and buys a ninja 250.
  17. Is indeed a clean low mile bike in good order. Price seems fair. Glws, lbts.
  18. My premium last year for my gsxs1000f when I first bought it was $1500/yr for good coverage. This year it was $923 and my deductible dropped from $1k to $750. Before this bike I insured my bandit, shadow, cb750, TL1000S and FZR600 and never saw a rate increase.
  19. Betting the crowd will be over 50% white anyway.
  20. Had geico for a while, found a better rate with progressive, plus they have vanishing deductibles and they drop my premium every year of uninterrupted coverage. Check em out, check as many out as possible. Gonna depend on your bike tho, I know state farm has an upcharge for coverage on ANY sport bike. If there's an 'R' in the model, it costs an extra $600-800 per year.
  21. When is your next cruise? I like you better with limited internet access lol
  22. Asking what someone uses is not asking for advice. Its starting a discussion. Asking for Advice would be "idk what to use, so tell me what I should use" See the difference?
