  1. @Tonik@Gpaw remember this guy 😄 he sneaked a selfie in lol
  2. @Gpaw @Tonik thank you really for coming out. It was so awesome to meet you guys and the day being picture perfect was icing on the cake. Beautiful roads and fantastic company. Left Raleigh Thursday morning and got back Saturday, 3 days about 1700 miles, if which 1500 is all back roads and all excellent ones. This turned out to be an amazing trip. Relive memories as well as ride almost all of the old favorite roads. We took 20 all the way to 77 in Princeton which was an excellent ride as usual. Good think I avoided 250 or 33 from previous plan. This was hardly any traffic. reached home by 12. Mo checked into a hotel south of charlotte rick, the guy name is Mo, I never met him before and just randomly took a chance on total stranger wanting to ride when I posted in the local group here. It turns out he was an excellent riding partner. Hardcore, came all the way from Florida for This ride and he seems to have enjoyed every minute on these roads. @Gpaw sorry for the nut job ride, I was just too excited and went full bang just to relieve our glorious 164 tour days plus enjoyed the target game. . Even if cuckoo, I think you had a blast, could see the grin inside your helmet all the time 🤣 @Tonik Mo wanted to let you know he was extremely grateful For the company and excellent tow. He has the Goldwing bean sprouting in his mind I think. You guys ever swing by the smokies please let me know, if free for sure will come by meet you there. till next time my friends. Here are the only few pics from today
  3. Wah, that's too early. You might wait longer. Just time for 10:15 or so. Well I guess we too late now.
  4. @Gpaw Sorry for late response team. Is 8:45 meet time okay with all. @B-Mac come come come it's easy peasy for a cuckoo crazy rider like you @Tonik thinking 83-78-260-26-800 all the way to river. Based on time we prolly have to peel off and cross the river and head south at that point of time. today we road the other side 676 555 78 etc then started climbing north to old battlegrounds of 800 646 164 9 etc Then back down to Cambridge now. shoveling away 550-600 miles per day last two days. Tomorrow will be another 600+ day to get back all the way home todays weather and all these roads forgot how good they were. Took them for granted for many years. After the break to come back and do it, it's entirely different experience. Esp 555 avoided longest time thinking it's still broken up pavement but the part up to 78 from 676 was really good and so excellent. yes Pauly you won the bet, I thought you knew. First bike that I kept over a year now and be keeping long time. 13k miles on it already
  5. At Marietta now, roaming seo today
  6. I will have one person with me, he is coming all the way from Florida to join the ride. Never rode with him before, but when I posted up in local riders chat he jumped in.
  7. How about @Howabusa didn't see any post from him in recent times, he always rode. Tony & Brian prolly don't like bigger groups. @marlboro man seems to be enjoying upper north east. Other than that don't see anyone else being active in here and riding anymore 😞
  8. Looks like beautiful weather and you be committed there fully with no chance of escape back to ohio 😞
  9. Shucks next time, if you coming to Nc also let me know I might be able to join a day with you guys. I am guessing 2talltim fam might be going with you guys ? You guys always did cruise in the past iirc.
  10. Was scavenging the threads, seems like not many OG frequent flyers active in here anymore. quick look shows these OGs have new scoots and should be riding on such a beautiful day . @Casper @max power @2talltim@JustinNck1
  11. Yesssss like tonik said get it ride it and sell after you have ton of fun and just some elbow grease to clean it up and put it back. It's not going to get sold that very next Sunday anyways.
  12. Since you put it eloquently like that let's meet at the Good gas station near the intersection
  13. awesome, will be nice to meet you again brian, i aged twice as much in the last 3 years haha Daily commute is around 150 avg miles these day. Gained 20 lbs of fat, old suit dont fit any more, need new helmet all nine yards hahaha , one good thing is the bike suspension works well since i am at hoal weight for most manufacturers on a serious note, are you climbing back to ohio from NC WV side. I plan to take 16 all the way up through WV.
  14. thats unfortunate your out of town pauly, but being that its florida your plan could always change fingers crossed
  15. we can push to 9:30? Come by at least we can meet up. And like tonik said we can always split up.
  16. will be great to ride with you again my old neighbor, one rick down, now need to find what the other rick is doing you know me well, i haven't changed at all
  17. Awesome, Guess I won't have to worry about the weather anymore
  18. Sup my old ohio friends, if the weather holds well was thinking of heading up north on friday sep 15 and turn around and head home on sep 16. Was wondering if any of you guys free to meet up for a ride. Would be nice to meet up and ride like old times. Thinking of meeting in New concord 8:30 am and ksu by 9:00, take the usual roads and then i probably head south from the WV border.
  19. @Pauly if your going to be strictly be doing on road riding would you rather prefer the RT over the GSA? How was RT handling on street compared to your gsa?
  20. It was such a pleasant surprise to meet you there my friend. Imagine how random it was, that was a small gas station in the middle of no where and the odds were slim to none. hope you had a great rest of the ride. Will be seeing you Ohio folks around in NC randomly as I am always roaming these mountains aimlessly 🤣🤣🤣 if at all coming down this way holler and I will try to join as much as possible.
  21. Yes haven't posted anything didn't ride for a long time then back again. Yes that dude is faaaast. Scraping everything, flash through the gap, also running advanced in track days with dedicated sports bike with that XR. he is unofficial representation of sporty nature of XR. 😄
  22. Awesome my friend, hopefully someday me and wife also get to complete the 48 mapping.
  23. Missed seeing you Timmy, I really wish you had a street legal bike as well. So also missed the ever present @hellmutt and @snot tim when will you guys be coming to NC track days again?
  24. And the grand finale, found one before pauly hid
  25. It rained or wet pavement on almost 50% of my journey. But the rest of the 50% made up for the fun and time lost on the other sections 😄 I love this bike, this will be a keeper for some time, going to spend coins for mods. Interesting how the crazy mind works, I had the XR and GSA which is build for trips like these and I didn't like them as much as this little bike which was not meant for such a trip at all.
