  2. Bike is now for sale. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=87968
  3. -Lowered the price, pipes have been freshly re-wrapped.- Up for sale is my custom built GSX-R (mostly). This is my baby. I spent nine months rebuilding her, every day riding her, and hate to see this truly one-of-a-kind machine go. But, I'm starting to outgrow the sport bike world, and need cash to get my next bike project off the ground. The Short Story: Bought the bike in 2005, which was originally a 2002 Suzuki GSX-R 600 Movistar. Bought it as a theft recovery, therefore a salvage title. It was just stolen and dropped, which meant it had a scratch on one side, but mechanically perfect. Torn down and rebuilt in 2009. The only original parts that were kept off the old bike was the frame, engine, fuel tank, and the rims. Everything else is different. 20,000 miles on the engine. Brand new Michelin Pilot Pure 2CT tires (maybe 200 miles on them max). This was my daily rider. Mechanically in fantastic shape. Cosmetically, there are a couple scratches. Thinking about having it repainted, but will add to the cost. Asking 5,000 as is. 5,600 repainted (and the decals will be gone). The Long Story: I wanted to rebuild the bike, but had it be truly unique. I wanted to do some significant upgrades, while changing the body lines to have her looking a little more modern. I will start from the front, and move my way back. Just contact me with any questions you might have (I'm sure there will be a few!), I'd be happy to discuss anything. This is a custom bike, no other one like it. I built it entirely myself, and she is a fantastic machine, but it's a total one off. There are no manuals for the modifications. This would be better for someone who is really into motorcycles and knows how to maintain a bike. This one might be a little much for someone just starting out. She was my daily rider, so there are a few minor scuffs and scratches, she has her quirks, but overall extremely solid, and I have taken meticulous care of her. Any questions, or to come and see her, just let me know, the pictures don't do her justice.
  4. I get freakin 35 MPG, on a good day.... The power commander sure didn't help...
  5. Yea. Even though she's not at fault, she's still extremely torn up about it. She doesn't want me to go anywhere near my bike right now. A small part of me can't necessarily blame her either...
  6. Yea... This whole thing sucks. It was my wife in the Volkswagen. I have been debating for the past 2 weeks weather or not to post on this, the whole thing is just terrible. The investigators state that she had the green arrow, I guess he just didn't see the red light. I didn't know the guy, but everyone says he was a good guy. I haven't been able to ride my bike since. Everyone just needs to slow down and look out for each other. Everybody be safe out there.
  7. When the unfortunate time comes that you do crash, you're going to want that extra protection that only leather offers. I wear mine every ride. Sucks in the dead of summer heat, but you know that if anything happens, you are as protected as you can get.
