  1. UP may be faster than me on asphalt, but I can make him cry in the dirt?
  2. I plan on either having a Super Duke GT or a Super Adventure T for next season. Uncle Punk refuses to ride with me as long as a have a Harley....
  3. Hey! I ain't old... Or a gentleman! Glad I didn't hold you up too bad. My original Dunlop's have about 15,000 miles on them and a past worn out. I did 380 miles in 7 hours and never got on a 4 lane. Guess a 54MpH average including 2 gas stops and a sit down lunch at Taco Bell isn't too bad for an old gentleman on a bagger?
  4. Sucks about the toe... May want to consider ABS on your next bike. I'm on my first ABS bike and its pretty amazing how well it works
  5. I have a Schubert and its pretty quiet, but not perfect. On my FJR1300 with the windsheild down its very tolerable without ear plugs. With the windsheild up I do get some noise. If I crouch down just a bit I get 100% silence. With just a lil bit taller windsheild I would have luxury car quiet. I have a Sena and can hear my music even at 100mph.
  6. My FJR1300 did the same thing. New fro t tire cured it 100%
  7. OMG! Freakin Awesome trails. Perfect weather and a damn fine BBQ lunch.you guys with dirtbikes who ride quad trails have no idea what you are missing out on.
  8. Last time we were there we got stuck behind slow moving side by sides we decided it wasnt worth the expense of going there anymore. WNF is missing out on so many trail pass purchases without bike friendly single track. Absolutely no reason why dirt bike guys are forced to ride quad paths. All the more reason the clubs that put on the enduros and dual sport rides get my money. Doing the Flint Ridge dual sport Sunday... Man I'm ready to ride me some singletrack!
  9. Remember when cops first got tasers. They claimed it was only to avoid shooting someone. Now if you do so much as question or disrespect a cop your ass is getting zapped for payback and punishment.
  10. Havent been to WNF in a few years. Seems like the last time we went the trails have all been turned into golf cart paths. What are the trails like now?
  11. Every day it isnt snowing too hard is ride to work day. I have ridden my 80 mile daily ride to work for at least the last 24 months.
  12. If you are wanting a FJR1300, don't be afraid of 50K on a FJR. of course lower miles are better, but FJs are easily 100K engines
  13. A few modifications to the testing procedure. If you are on a HD you fail if you duck walk more than 80% of the course, but you do get to drink a beer everytime you use your front brake
  14. Do you plan on riding with a passenger? If so heres my input. I had an Aprilia Futura which is about as close as you can get to a Sprint in size and riding position. I loved it for riding solo, but add a passenger and the fun ended. Riding position although aggressve was super comfortable for me alone but add a passenger leaning on me and the added weight to my wrists was too much. And the short wheel base once again was great solo and it would throttle wheelie in 1, 2 and sometimes 3rd gear...AWSOME! Until the ol lady was on back compounding the tendency to wheelie . I ended up getting a FJR1300 and the added 5 inches of wheelbase is just what is needed for passenger comfort, and allows me to accelerate with authority and have my headlights pointing at the road. Also the slightly less aggressive seating position is enjoyable with a passenger.. I have NO ISSUES WITH THE HANDLING. I can rail on this bike
